I would like to know which jailbreaking software to use on my iPhone 4. I am interested in greenpois0n because it allows custom boot logos. If you have another jailbreak tool you recommend, post! What do you guys think?

I would recommend redsn0w or PwnageTool. Redsn0w and PwnageTool are both made by the iPhone-Dev Team, and are the most stable tools for jailbreaking an iDevice. In your case, I'd recommend PwnageTool in case you would like to hacktivate (unlock).

I'm not really looking to unlock my iPhone. Also, does either of those offer custom boot logos? I would really like one.

I don't believe they offer bootlogos, but if you are really interested in one, I suggest greenpois0n; I don't think Absinthe has that feature anymore.

Just so you know, they're all essentially equally safe, as they all use the same exploits. The only real difference between jailbreaking using the different tools is user interface. redsn0w and PwnageTool are made by the same guys, and Absinthe was made by a lot of the devs working together.

As far as ease goes, Absinthe is the best. redsn0w, in my opinion, is the most reliable and offers the most features (not sure if it offers custom boot logos, though). Any of them will get the job done, however, I would advise against ac1dsn0w as the dev team behind it is relatively new and unknown.

DISCLAIMER: I do not own a Mac, and as such, have never been able to use PwnageTool, so I have no opinion on it.
