VMM, your source is kinda bad. Since the source talks about the Japanese version (and was posted in July)..
And ShadowSoldier, it's because of the source, that was old news, now this is outside Japan (I hope)

Changed the source.
But I guess both of you didn't even entered the e-shop to see it.

Nope, I didn't have the 3DS at hand, but since you said that it could be seen on the eShop I stated to ShadowSoldier that this news post that you wrote was outside of Japan, with the (I hope) parenthesis since I couldn't confirm it.

eshop sucks ,ninty are cheap lying bastards ,when 3ds was 1st announced they implied there would be at least some free 3d versions of nes and other vc titles ,they should be giving us all the top nes titles in 3d ,they would sell more consoles that way too, ninty has turned into parasitic cheap lazy bastards

Kirby's Adventure 3D classic = NES
Kid Icarus 3D classic = NES
Excitebike 3D classic= NES
Urban Champion 3D classic = NES
Xevious 3D classic = NES
All of which were top rated NES Titles.
They've also offered the biggest NES titles there are (SMB, Zelda, Metroid)
They also offer very entertaining E-Shop games (Cave story +, Pushmo, Crashmo, Liberation Maiden, Monster shooter, etc.)
Im pretty sure they're doing a fine job.

What chavosaur said. Also I don't recall them implying anything for free... more than, Excitebike 3D classic, which was free for a while in the beginning. Oh, and The Zelda Four Swords game was free when it was oout there... Oh, and those who were "early" also got 20 Virtual Console games for free.
And also, we have had a lot of 3D video content for free... maybe not the best and most interesting content, but still.

i mean at the original press conference when 3ds was 1st announced ,yes they have SMB, Zelda, Metroid ,but not in 3d ,i want to see nes zelda 1, 2 ,metroid ,mario 1,2,3 punchout castlevania ,megaman etc in 3d ,(yes i know last 2 are konami, capcom)at least the top 25 most popular highest rated games ,jap smb 2 lost levels is not all that different than smb 1
plus snes games in 3d
it cand be that difficult of expensie of time consuming to port over already made 2d 8 and 16 bit games to 3d
its their stupid marketing bs that is preventing it no doubt

You can't expect them to take an old game and remake them in 3D.

They've already offered a fair amount of 3D Classics.

And it's more work to convert a classic title to 3D then you would think.

I think that TotalNoob means that he wanted some of the best NES games to become 3D classics.
Zelda, Super Mario Bros 1,2,3, Megaman,
instead games like Excitebike, Xevious, Urban Champion and Twinbee.

Also I think it's needless to say that the best 3D classics(Kirby and Kid Icarus) are in fucking 4:3, this is purê lazyness.

I think Excite bike is a great 3D Classic. As is Kirbys adventure and Kid Icarus AND Xevious. Xevious pulls off some nice 3D, but kinda stings the eyes a lil.
As for the earlier statement, you got em in VC. I understand you want em in 3D, but that would take A TON of time. And you never know, it COULD still happen.

I don't really care for 3d classics... I would rather that all NES titles would be released as normal and cheaper VC titles.

yes exactly ,they should offer free software updates to ambassadors to make the ambassador games 3d at the very least

why? if they are in 3d you can just turn down the slider or play them with a flashcart ,i didnt buy a system with an autostereoscopic 3d screen to play games in 2d ,i dont know about you

Because 3D classics are slightly more expensive and the 3D just doesn't add that much to old 2D games. But if I saw a game like Super Mario Kart released in 3d than I would be very interested.

Man, I think this is the perfect time for Nintendo to release SMB3 as a 3D classic,
Nintendo just got back with tanooki suit, and that would please the fans and sell a lot.

They could remake it with NSMB engine, it would be perfect, would make astonishing sells,
and would please the fans of SKJmin hack.

Sometimes I think Nintendo is so stubborn, why not releasing titles that people want.
There are no SNES VC titles, neither gba(excluding ambassador ones),
there are just few NES titles, and fewer gbc titles.
They don't use achievements, the demos have limit of usage,
and many other stuff I could spend a day talking about,
but I guess it's unnecessary and would only generate flame war
