Hacking RVT wads on Retail Console, impossible, or am I just doing it wrong?

So, I put the RVT wads through RVT2RVL, and it looks fine, though when installing them I get error -1022 (ticket doesn't equal hash). I can dump them and inside System Menu Uninstaller and Disc Check is just the standard ticket, tmd, etc.
Is there anyway to fix this? Or are they uninstallable?

Those channels should convert and install fine on a retail wii (although the menu uninstaller isn't exactly useful).

Get wwPacker and see if it converted properly. Examine the [RVL](Filename).wad you got from RVT2RVL using the "WadDataInfo" tool. If it gives an "Unknown file structure" error, either they're not converted or one of the key files has the wrong key in it. If you get the title info, RVT2RVL did the conversion and didn't re-sign them.

If you want to try to force them to install, re-sign them with the "JustSign" script in wwPacker to update the hashes. Just make sure you have a way to recover from a banner brick if needed.

Would this be correct for Disc Check Channel?
Path: '00010002\0144434B'
Type: System Channel
TitleID : ' DCK' ManufacturerID :
IOS Flag: IOS9 Region Flag: Region Free
Data files: 3
Size: 955572 byte (8 blocks)
And Wii Uninstaller Channel:
Path: '00010002\01574D55'
Type: System Channel
TitleID : ' WMU' ManufacturerID :
IOS Flag: IOS9 Region Flag: Region Free
Data files: 4
Size: 8246424 byte (63 blocks)

Off the top of your head do those look correct?

I have priioader+boot2+an old nand backup, but I've never dealt with one before.

The title info looks correct.

If you have priiloader or bootmii as boot2 (you say you have both), you're fine. Fixing a banner brick is a matter of just opening HBC from either of those, then uninstalling the channel that bricked you.

Hmm. Using JustSign, to sign a trunchabug, resulted in same error....
I'm using MultiModManager to install. Do I need a certain IOS?

Edit: Got them to 'install', but nothing shows up on the wii menu.......
Ideas?

Shouldn't need any special tools or IOS. It sounds like one of your key bin files has the wrong key in it. Make sure the coomon key and rvt key are right. The key.bin and rvtkey.bin should each be 16 bytes in size. The app won't complain if they're wrong, it'll just make bad wads.

Also, rvt2rvl doesn't work right on windows 8.
