In response to this topic, I've decided to post my own set of polls to try and find the answer. Since I don't know how well the polls work now, I'm going to get a lot of suggestions from GBAtemp users. Since I'm going to be prone to missing some obvious and not so obvious titles, please post as many as you want.

If you're going to suggest a game to add to the list, specify which console (if multiplatform, specify the consoles) it was on and what year it came out. Perhaps you should also post a short reason why you enjoyed it as well.

Ocarina of Time was released earlier than 2000 I believe. ports do not count unless they are remakes.
98 I believe, That was a huge oversight on my part, sorry about that. May I suggest Banjo-Tooie (2000). (N64 is hard since most of the legendary games for it were released in 98-99)

Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages/Seasons (GBC) (2001)

Harry Potter and the Philosopher's (Sorcerer's) Stone (GBC) (2001)
That was a great game IMO. Don't know what the rest of you think of it though.

Unreal Tournament 2004 (PC, 2004): plain out best competitive FPS ever created. Lots of good game modes, fun but hard to master gameplay and a full-blown editor (and ditto community).

Super Mario Galaxy (wii, 2007): more or less redesigned 3D platforming.

Rollercoaster Tycoon 2 (PC, 2002): I admit it...hasn't changed much from the original formula (which isn't voteable 'cause released in '99). Still the simulation game to end all simulation games, IMO.

F-Zero GX (gamecube, 2003): best racer out there. Plain 'n simple.

Braid (multiplatform, 2008): despite not having played too many indy games, I'd say it has a more than solid position. The theme, visuals, sound, story, puzzles, platforming...in fact, is there any field where braid is less than awesome?

Lumines (multiplatform, 2004/2005): it's better than tetris. And yes, I'm serious.

That's all I can think of. Okay, I could pitch fallout 3 or silent hill 2 for RPG and horror game, but I don't play these types of games enough to know how well they deserve the spot over the competition.
Likewise, I probably should mention that the sims, farmville and (especially) world of warcraft need to be nominated (and perhaps bejeweled as well). If not for the popularity, then at least for what they've meant for the medium. Which is A LOT.

I honestly thought that SMT: Nocturne was better than Persona 4, so if you would add that. Was released in 2004 for the PS2.
I also think that Radiant Historia for the DS is a good game (well one of, if not the best RPG on the DS at least). Released in 2010 in Japan and 2011 in America, so I'm not sure if it counts. :/

Mario Tennis (N64) (July 21st, 2000)
Doubutsu no Mori (N64) (April 14th, 2001)

This means you have to remove Animal crossing from the Gamecube list, as it's just a port of the earlier "Doubutsu no Mori" for the N64. :P

I would, but that is the first NA/EU release. The one on the N64 did not get one outside of Japan.

I think Spike meant [2002-2012].

It would explain why/how Batman: Arkham City is on the list.
Good point though I think they have it wrong.
