Gaming Pokémon SoulSilver ROM white freeze (in Wi-Fi Settings)

ROM: Pokemon SoulSilver Version (E) (date on the rom is 27/03/2010 I believe).
Flashcart: r4i3d (www.r4i3d.com)

This may not be a good flashcart, but all my games work. Only the Pokémon games freeze sometimes.

Anyway, I'm 25 hours in SoulSilver, and I can't use the WiFi because when I start the game and I go on Nintendo. WiFi Connection Settings, the game freezes - I get a white screen. I tried downloading different rom types of the game, but I still get the freeze (I use the same .save file though, so the problem could be the battery).

WiFi works for other Pokemon games, I tried it. I think it used to work before for SoulSilver.

Anything I can do to fix this? I really want to trade Pokemon!

If you used ar codes, that's your problem.

I'm not sure what that is, but if it's a cheat code of some sort I never use those.

EDIT: Action Replay Codes. Nope, never used them.

Any way to fix this issue? Even if it requires transferring the rom and battery file to my computer and messing around.

Also, I transferred the battery file on my computer, changed the extension from .sav to .dsv and loaded the game on Desmuse. I managed to go into Nintendo Wifi Connection Settings without the game freezing on a white screen. Perhaps this fact can help in diagnosing my problem...

Did you trim the rom?
Well that can cause the problem.
The other thing that can cause problems is a bad dump.
Get a better one.

I haven't trimmed the rom. I've also tried 5 different dumps of the rom, but in each of them I could not get into the nintendo wifi connection settings option you get when you load up a pokemon game (in the main menu) because the DS freezes on a white screen. I don't have this problem with the other pokemon games though.

I HIGHLY doubt that anything remotely new-ish would work on your flashcart (BW2? Even original BW? Kirby Mass Attack?)

Anyway, an AP patch modifies the ROM to remove Nintendo anti-piracy protections.
If you can't find it with Google in under a minute, the world has ceased to exist.

Then when you open this software, it will search for updates and update every single one they ask. Ignore the CMP Database update. Once you see it, you will get what I mean. Open your rom,

The original black and white works. In fact every game I tried works! But I haven't tried B&W2, but by the time I'll get to that game it will probably be next summer.

I am perfectly capable of finding it through Google. I was just wondering what it was. Now I know (nintendo anti piracy thing). So thanks for that.

Ok, I found another ROM and I managed to patch it. The patch was successful! Thank you.

Unfortunately the game will still freeze if I try to enter the Nintendo Wifi Connection Settings menu option.

The game itself works fine though. I will test it to see if I get any periodic freezes.

I think with regards the wifi connection settings bit, there is nothing I can do about it right? We've exhausted all the options (apart from getting a new flashcart, which I will, but in the future).

Ok, good news. Found a fix.
I know we cannot post roms, but this is a patcher.

Download this (Password: dth)
And then there will be a file called "Patch". Drag your rom onto the patch and it will say "Patch Done"
And the rom will be in the same place where it was from where you dragged it.
It's done!

And one more thing:
Add this cheat:

Ah, try applying the patch to a clean rom, not to a already-patched rom.
