“To the people of Gaza and the 'Occupied Territories', know that Anonymous stands with you in this fight," the group said in a statement. "We will do everything in our power to hinder the evil forces of the IDF arrayed against you. We will use all our resources to make certain you stay connected to the Internet and remain able to transmit your experiences to the world."

The hacker group posted a message on one website claiming to have taken down Israeli’s “top security and surveillance website.” The statement included a photo of what the group said were burning buildings in Gaza and said: “We Anonymous will not sit back and watch a cowardly Zionist State demolish innocent people’s lives.”

The hacker group also released a "care package" with tools for staying online if the Israeli government cuts off Internet access in Gaza. Another hacker group called Telecomix posted a message online with instructions on how to use dial-up Internet to stay connect if the Web is shut down.

Anonymous needs to burn in hell.
Classy. A bunch of Anonymous are actually trying to do something that might actually matter, and that's all you can say.

Personally, this Israel-Palestine conflict is getting scary. We all know once they go all out, it's NOT gonna be just them -- allies will have a go at it too, and before you know it, World War III, end of the fucking world as we know it scenario.

We actually might make the 12/21/12 deadline for Apocalypse.

Ah, doesn't matter. Might be my rebel streak that makes me sympathize for whatever Anonymous does, but what I do know is that Israel is the aggressor on this one, and I have yet to see any sensible justification for their aggression. My sympathy goes to the underdog, and as Anonymous is actually sympathizing with them as well, I naturally like what they do (doesn't necessarily mean I approve of it though).

Also, as for the Sony hack, Sony was incredibly lax there. Anonymous might have been culpable, but Sony is no less guiltier than them. They had it coming. I mean, plain text! Who does that? Keep sensitive account information in plain text?

Anyways, I'm straying off topic. So yeah, woo Anonymous. Or something like that.

Look, I don't mind if someone has a cause, but Anonymous does nothing but cause DDOS attacks like a cornered rat. They're the prime example of what not to do to spread a cause like normal civilized humans do, you know, like a peaceful protest? Is it really hard for them to do? America is Israel's ally, Gaza/Palestine is not. I'll side with Israel thank you, Anonymous just likes to troll websites and send DDOS attacks. Like that's going to make all any difference in the world. I don't give a s**t about hacktivists who troll.

"Your website is down, trolololol!"

They compromised thousands of personal accounts with personal information just to make Sony suffer. Real mature of them. Causing an Israeli site to go down is REALLY going to make them hurt. If they don't like something someone does, ignore it. Oh wait, but they HAVE to do something about it like a whiny, bitching twelve year-old who can't play Grand Theft Auto.

So how is a peaceful protest in your country going to help the people on palestine? I mean, if they can do something solid to support them, why shouldn't they do it? Taking down a site may look inoffensive, but just look at the reaction of people when they can't access a site they regularly use (like facebook, or hell, even the temp a couple of weeks ago). We don't even know if they have breached into the servers or something.

And you'll side with Israel just because your goverment has an alliance with them? Even if Israel is going to kill innocent people?
Let's say you are an italian in the WWII, would you side with germany just because you country has an alliance with them? going by that logic, you would.

and lastly, how do you know if these are the same people who hacked sony? anonymous takes on that name because anyone can take part of it (unfortunately). IF these are these are the hackers who hacked sony, then it could be more problematic than "trololol". Sony themselves stated they were: "victim of a very carefully planned, very professional, highly sophisticated criminal cyber attack.

One of these days Anonymous is gonna fuck with the wrong person/group/nation and have their shit wrecked.

Either way, agreed on this conflict being scary. I'm sure if something is gonna go down, the Middle East is gonna cause it. I was really hoping on 12/21 we'd all get hit by galactic super rays and get super powers.......not World War III thanks to Israel and Gaza
