This is becoming a cliché nowadays. It's everywhere. I personally believe that we as humans may have increased a very small percentage of the planet temperature (from a Nova episode i remembered it to be half percent). But what i really hate about this global warming campaign is our pretentious importance over this planet. Instead of saying "Let's save the planet" this campaign should actually change its mission statement first. It should be "Let's save ourselves". Planet has been here billions of years before we got here and it will stay a few more billions after we leave.

It's hard to deny at this point that we've had an impact on the changing climate, and even seemingly minute shifts in temperature can have huge impacts. Not only can these shifts endanger us, they also disrupt and damage fragile ecosystems... which can come back around and hurt us even more.

"Save the planet" pretense or not, it's not something we should take sitting down.

Man made global warming is a scaremongering fad which will be used as an excuse to tax us all as a means to combat it.
I used to have a teacher who said that global warming was like taking a piss in the ocean.

Another thing is that it's so easy for organizations to get money by just adding that their studies are partially for combating global warming, it's all about the money. While I certainly think we should get a lot more "environmentally friendly" I still think global warming is bit exaggerated.

You're right with that - Global warming barely has any impact on the planet, worst case scenario is that nearly all life on it dies.

The planet won't give a shit about that, but our descendants will look back through history and wonder why, after discoverying the effects our industry has on the environment which we need to be intact to live in, we sat around for decades pretending that it didn't exist, was made up, was "not a pressing issue at the time" or "already too far along to stop it" or whatever other fucking excuses there are.

Just like me you seem to live in the Western Hemisphere. Have you been to Shangai, China? If people can survive the smoke there, i believe that Global Warming is a marketing tactic.
But like i said, if we want to get real about this than we should change the Mission Statement to "Let's save ourselves"

Well I have seen a lot of evidence that shows Global Warming and or Climate Change does happen naturally and has happened before. But it normally happens over much longer periods of time.
It appears more that we didn't create this global effect, but we did speed it up and that is a problem.

Man made global warming is a lie. The rapidly (in "Earth Time") rising temperatures and thinning of the ozone is merely God playing a trick on us. All we need to do is have faith and vote republican and God will turn down the thermostat.

That's a good one, God. No one is funnier than you.

Global warming is a big fat scam created by globalists to strip nations of their sovereignty and to soak the public of tax dollars by instituting regressive taxes that hurt the poor most of all. What a joke "you're all going to die so give us money and we'll fix it". The problem is they have no intention of doing anything that would fix global warming even if it was real. Does anyone think that taxing carbon will do anything but drive manufacturing overseas where places like China will emit even more co2 than we do while making our goodies

Global warming is happening, the levels of CO2 in the atmosphere are unprecedented, and scientists are more than 90% sure that global warming is human-made.

I'm pretty sure we are effecting it in some way.

All I know is, in my means, I will try to be green. Like Solar power and Electric Cars.

good luck with that. thought at this point it would make more sense to limit reliance on fossil fuels rather than eliminate it. not economical in the least.
