Its from the Ivory Coast so its a scam. Everyone knows its only legit when its from Nigeria.

oddly enough, the majority of ones i get are "from nigeria" Haha
edit: i got one from "west africa" last week, it seems similar to the one you posted devin, especially this line here: "My Late father ( Ismael who was the former Minister of Economy and Finance of Laurent Gbagbo and died on January 11, 2012, but before his death, he deposited a huge amount of Eight million Six Hundred Thousand Euro, (€8.6Million) in one of the leading bank here in Abidjan cote d'Ivoire"

I never get these, not even in my spam folder. Either Hotmail has incredible security, or the world just doesn't consider me worth scamming...not sure whether or not that'd be a compliment

Scam.

I also received emails/text-messages every now and then basically stating that i'm no longer gonna be a pirate.

They usually ask you for personal information which you shouldn't give out to a absolute stranger. That's how shit happens, don't do it!!!

I once got a phone call from a foreign guy saying that i won some international ID prize (or some shit like that) I instantly knew it was a scam phone call and i just blabbered a pile of fake shit just to see where it was going.
