Here is my problem. I'm trying to update the Wood with v1.53 on my friends ancient Black R4 Revolution For DS.

Everytime I download one version after another for v1.53, it just stays stuck at the LOADING screen.

Funny thing is I have another friend whose R4 card is eactly the same and I updated his with wood 1.50v alittle while before he left town and his one worked fine. Also I deleted the backup of that file and can't remember where I downloaded it from....

So... can anyone point me in the right direction of where to dowload a working version of wood for this?

ONLY the original and a few others suported officially by YWG will work. And, if you want any help, you should post the homepage of your flashcard, it should be printed anywhere on the box/blister, ya now, there are a loooot of shitty clones out there.

Can't exactly post the homepage since the flashcard got stopped being supported in 2009 and the R4 website hat created it was shutdown in the same year. It can be updated with new Wood but lacks official support. It's a Generation 2 flashcard and only supports upto 2GB Micro SD card

But here is what the actual flashcart is/looks like :/

wiki.gbatemp.net/wiki/R4_DS

Alot of clones/ripoffs etc know that feeling. My own is a R4i SDHC Dual Core which I found out is it self a clone and the website that supports it hacks the new versions of Wood for their own products.

Well then is a clone :/, maybe that's the reason it doesn't work properly, but you are telling me that the team behind your clone modifies the Wood firmware in order to get it working, right?? Maybe you need to backup all the contents of your microSD and then format it using Panasonic SD Formatter, it has been reported that this fixes many issues.

Lol let me correct you there, it's my friends flashcard that I'm having trouble with. I just used my own flashcard as reference to your comment about shitty clones.

(kinda confusing)

But back on topic I will try Panasonic CarD Formatter and see what happens, hope this works and cheers for the help thus far
