Hardware Should I preorder a Wii U from Fry's?

I was currently looking to preorder a Wii U searching every top retailer store here in the US with no luck at all. Seems they are all out of stock, but then came across this, http://www.frys.com/search?cat=-69044&pType=pDisplay&fq=100733%20Wii_U
Seems kind of weird that all stores are out of stock, but Frys has some or do they. They have it set as Special Order, what does that mean, dont quiet get it. Is it preordering the item, and if it is should I.

By the looks of the Special Offer passage, it seems like there is no guarantee to get it day one, though they won't charge you until the item is on its way.

If pre-orders are sold out then I doubt you will be able to get it day 1 anywhere by walking in. It is always worth a shot to try. Never try never fail

I would say no and btw buy the Deluxe version,its a lot better and its just 50$ more.(32 GB system!!)

But I would not trust there web site as I had trouble with it in the past trying to buy some usb 2.0 ports that was just retarded, and left me wondering if the site is at all linked to the actual store.

Im not to sure what your reply is about Eerpow, perhaps there wa a miss understanding? the 2.0 usb ports were for a computer, as for the Wii I bought mine in the store actual store.

I just finished calling them, they told me that its the same as preordering the item, that they will ship it as soon as they get it which is on release date. Shipping seem to be reliable as it mentions Ground, delivered between 7 days. I will probably take the chance since there is no other option, and as long as they dont charge me till its shipped Its fine.

Well this all happened to me around five year's ago, and the people in store were trying to convice me that the store is not linked with that web site, I even had a print out with me at the time. Seems things have changed in that time hopefully it has and its all legit now.
