I've got a DSI XL (never been firmware updated), and a M3i Zero. It pretty much works great but every once in a while it just gives a black screen. After you start the DS and select the card (card always appears) the screen just goes black and nothing happens. If I take the memory card and reload the SYSTEM folder back onto it, it will work again untill the same thing happens. Here's the really strange thing. After this happens (black screen) if I take the M3i Zero and pop it into a regular DS (DS Lite) it will work just fine, and after doing so putting the card back into the DSI XL works again too.

Anyone know what is happening here? Really annoying having to take the DS Lite everywhere you go just to ressurect the card for the other machine.

I have the best idea that could help you.
Buy a new flashcard. The M3i Zero is no longer supported

So,

If I were to get a new flashcart for my Dsi XL, what would be the most popular cart for that console? I've grown used to Sakura interface. Are there any other carts that use Sakura? What is a good cart that is simple to use (interface)

I suggest one of these Acekard 2i, R4i Gold (from r4ids.cn/), EZVi, and Supercard DSTwo.
You can use MAIO R4 and or MAIO for Acekard for the Sakura look.
