What's the most stable Jelly Bean rom for the Verizon Galaxy S3? I've found a couple different ones but I'm not sure which is best.

go to the xda forums and have a look there, you should find some up to date comments about said roms. My advice would be to try each one and see if you like most though

Thanks. I'll check it out. Also, I just realized that this post may be against the rules since it's asking about ROMs... not sure if Android ROMs are against the rules. Sorry about that.

Yeah, I'm just too impatient to until next month for the official Jelly Bean release. I might just wait until then though. I'm seeing a lot of glitches with these unofficial builds so I think it'd just be better to wait.

You have probably made a better choice sticking to the official stuff. Only reason I have used custom roms on my phone was because HTC was said they don't plan to support there phone anymore.

ROMs are in the sense of games, i.e. the sort of games you play on handhelds (or ISOs on consoles and the PSP, for instance). ROMs in terms of phone software is perfectly fine. :P

Thanks for the clarification. I wasn't sure because installing custom roms on your phone does void the warranty. I'm new to smart phones so I don't know all the legal stuff...

Voiding the warranty isn't illegal, it's just a protection by the manufacturers to render the warranty voided when dealing with this sort of thing against idiots trying to install something, breaking the phone, then sending it back complaining that it's inexplicably broken.

One thing that just occurred to me.... The sound on the 2600 sucked less back then the harsh sound we hear now is from infinitely better speakers we have now, back when the 2600 was new speakers produced a almost muffled sound, like CRTs made old graphics look slightly better.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I wonder if I could recommend that to some emulation devs that perhaps the sound could use some smoothing out to simulate those old TVs
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think a few of the early systems could benefit from that, at least up to the 8 bit generation, by the 16 bit generation I think TVs had gotten a lot better in almost every way
