Hey. I've decided to make a major contribution to the SNES cover collection.
Bastard-DarkGodofDestruction7z.png
You're welcome :P

@ mastershoes , I don't suppose ya have those wiiware covers layin around somewhere in a convenient little download, do ya?

Thanks for the cover drak :) Do you happen to have a version without the shrunken spine i can add to the other set?

Also... all the wiiware covers i've done are on gametdb, i don't have them available outside of there sorry.

...and a quick update :)

Added the N64 Shrunken Spine Sets.

Oh snap, one more thing... If anyone is looking for some custom covers for there emu channels (besides the near complete set thats available on gametdb), I came across this page with some custome covers, and some of them are pretty cool.

http://gbatemp.net/t...s%20+forwarders
Sure don't. When I was done, i didn't save the modified spine title. It took me a good half hour to isolate the title from the source image I used on the back and smooth it up. It's a pretty obscure (and bad) game that I made a decent cover for. I dunno how many people actually include it in their collections :P

Hey mastershoe... awsome work. :-)
Just wanted to know if there is actually a plugin that works for the atari's, coleco, and intelivision sets since there are flow covers
or are they there for possable future additions to the WF plugins?

Thanks man :)

There's no plugin for them at the moment, I put them up in case they get added down the line. It is possible to run Atari 7800, colecovision, intellivision, and even wiisx in a way... but they act like homebrew. You pick a game and it just brings you to the emulator. (so the game you choose through the flow is pointless). If you wanted to do that, just use the apps .dol for your plugin .dol (also I had to move those apps & root folders for those emus all to usb as well).

Hi, mastershoes.
I haven't posted in a long time but I'm always keeping an eye on the fantastic work you have done.
When do you expect the covers you have already done can be downloaded from gametdb by ROM CRC, if indeed this is how it will be done?

Ah thanks for the info! I did about half of that and I guess now I have to figure out how to bring up the box covers, considering the plugins are all pointing to the corresponding wiiflow/boxcovers/(emulator name folder) and nothing is loading. All .png files are named exactly like the direct file name. One came up last time, then disappeared.
That's weird.
probably tried all this already but
so you say their names like mario.smc.png and the "(emulator name folder)" above is what's set in coverFolder= in the INI ?
all the games show up but they just have ? marks on them, no cover, right?
have you tried refreshing the cache in the home button menu while in the emulator's coverflow?

yep, that is exactly the situation and they are named exactly in that format. my Wiiflow app is on my SD card, roms/backups are on my USB hard drive, plugin and boxcovers folders are on my USB. I did something one time and one cover actually worked, but then it disappeared the next time I tried it again. It is definitely weird. I am just working on everything right now with the plugins, going through process of elimination of any combination I can come up with haha.

I do reload the cache and it is just the same thing- question marks. I am using the Default theme right now...

EDIT: I solved it. Basically for the plugins I had usb1:/wiiflow/boxcovers/(emu name). I changed it to reflect what was in my WiiFlow .ini....usb:/wiiflow/boxcovers. Now they have appeared.

Can someone explain this to me I'm having trouble displaying the covers and have the same set up as bayern01 my emu and wiiflow is on SD while my games are on HDD. I have changed the fceugx plugin to the same as my wiiflow .ini then reloaded cache and nothing, also Ive notice it shows the cover as a game ie:10-Yard Fight and it shows 10-Yard Fight.nes.png as a game and no cover on either

Just curious as to what your process is for deciding which covers to make. Do you go by a master list of games for each system, or by what people tell you they need? If it's the latter, would it be possible for you to post a list somewhere of the games you have yet to do, and ones you currently plan to work on? Maybe that would make it easier for the community to help you out :)

hey shoes, are you gonna have sms/genesis shrunken spine sets anytime soon

I don't know about soon, but eventually. There's a lot of sega covers.. i have to go through them all individually and make sure all the spines are perfectly aligned before i shrink 'em. (I could do a hack job, but prefer not to.) A lot of them could stand for a cleanin' too. Actually, really not looking forward to doin' the sega sets, LOL.

If I'm only interested in NES, SNES, N64 and GBA, is this a good time jump in or should I wait for more tweaking to be done or until an automatic download method is in place?

Absolutely man, it is a good time to jump in. All the nintendo sets are up to speed, and future releases will be put up as "add-on pack" downloads. I recommend the "shrunken spine" sets.

Thanks a lot. I was waiting for the auto-download by CRC to be implemented but it sounds like I should get off my lazy ass and rename my roms to the no-intro format if they are not already.
Awesome job you've done here, as usual.

I'll see what i can do about getting a list together, but i'll need some time.

As for the covers your putting together, do you have any sized at 1090x680? All the ones i've d/l'ed here are sized at 1023x638, and i don't want to stretch them out or add in different sized covers to the sets. Also, if there's anyway you can make them without the shrunken spine it would be much appreciated, shrinking them is no problem, unshrinking them means rebuilding the spine, which i would really prefer not to do. Thanks for your efforts Drak!

When I make a new cover, I go by a list actually... it's a duplicate folder of my SNES, GB, NES ect. roms folder. I just delete the roms I got covers for and I get an idea of what to do next. Since I'm currently trying to 'complete' the NES, SNES, and GB sets, it helps me out alot.
@[member='drakorex'], nice covers; I will see what I can do about the size and spines if mastershoes ain't already beat me too it. :D
@[member='mastershoes'], I will have 0.8 ready for you in just a few.. I just got a few more tweeks to do. So far we're looking at over 60 new covers!! B-)

Here are a few sloppy covers I did for gameboy stuff that wasn't in the pack. A lot of them have artifacts and even watermarks I couldn't be arsed to clean up, because - hey, good enough: )

Those some good covs you got there, but they're not the same size as mastershoes cover set. But it's really ok tho. Since they could use some cleaning, resizing, and what not, I'll be glad to fix them up. Some of these covs I had already had aside so it would actually save me some time. Thanks.
