More pics at the source. Worth noting that the images there aren't at the 3DS resolution so it'll look worse. It'll look much better in-motion on your 3DS.

Wow, 4 looks really gorgeous so far, seems like it has stuff that you couldn't do on the previous games too, on that note, those screens for Tri G look really good too, it'd be awesome if the game sells well when it gets ported over here, so that Capcom localises 4 as well. z.z

And I was thinking that Tri G graphics were good enough.

4 is really looking impressive, plus it packs online combat so it's a day one purchase for me.

One thing I love about Monster Hunter is the animations. The monsters move and act so realistically.

Online play and chat comfirmed for 4! Add that to to thread title or post.

Game is gorgeous and rich in colour over 3G. That new weapon class is awesome. You can also ride on a monsters back, wow.

If I still get Tri, I'll get it for the wii u and the Monster Hunter 4
for 3ds since they have online.

I wonder if they will pull another wii u port.

I never did understand why these games are big. I tried a few them and absolutely hated them. Wasn't all that fun. But more importantly, it was just boring. I will admit that the game does look beautiful.

Its A Hate it or Love it kind if game, thats why capcom is so reluctent when it comes to localizing them. Trust me, for as much love as these games get theres also as much hate.

Because the game does not hold your hand. It does not aim for you, you aim for yourself. It will not teach you how to time attacks, and you most certainly cannot just bash your way to victory. There's no level to grind that makes you ridiculously strong. Some complain the controls suck, but few realize you need to master the control instead. You also need to master the combat system. You can't rely on evade stats, you need to get out of the way or eat dirt.

The closest thing I can think of that takes that much determination is learning to play a music instrument. Except of course, you're pushing buttons.

Now that I'm done preaching the game, I am so hyped for MH3G and MH4 that I'm playing the game on the PSP starting from Freedom. So far so good, but my weapon choice seems to be weighing down on me a bit (Bowguns). By the gods, is it hard or what? I can barely take down Yian Kut-Ku with lots of ammo, I shiver at the thought of finally facing a Rathalos or worse. And there are missions where Heavy Bowguns are just impossible to use against wyverns (especially fast ones, and in areas with lots of fast annoying critters).

Welp, if there's no online for Ultimate I might as well wait for 4. But man, both games look gorgeous, can't wait.

Adding online to MH4 almost tripled it's chances of making it to the west. I just hope they get satisfactory mh3u sales so they don't get pissed off and not give us mh4.
I am sure they added online keeping the western audience in mind, and if they localise this then capcom is redeemed in my opinion.

Nah that's BS. I'd hardly call it a difficult series at all but then I come from a different gen of gamers who are used to games just dropping you in to the shit without any training or guides. Same with the likes of Dark Souls and even now people are saying Borderlands 2 is hard...yet I find it to be ok. I don't even play games as often as I used to, just when they come out and when it's not a new game I go back to the classics. *shrug*

People find it boring because they do, no other reason and if they thought it was the difficulty I'm pretty sure they would say so. I like other titles in this genre, just this particular series has nothing that can hold my interest. Wish it wasn't the case but it is.

MH4 looks pretty enough, Capcom certainly puts more effort into it's 3DS titles than others. I hope they can do something I would like one day.

I'll admit, Monster Hunter games won't appeal to everyone. But when it does, the bond and interest amongst the fans are pretty damn tight
