I dont have any plus controller, i asked my friend for his motion plus controller to play skyward sword.
but i have 3 wii controllers.
does anyone knows if the wii u games like nintendo land can be played with the normal wii controller alongside the wii u gamepad?

because all the sites that talk about the wii u are saiyng that it can be played with the motion plus controller, and they arent mentioning the normal wii controller.

Odds are you'll need a Wiimote plus. Luckily you can get a Wii Motion Plus for your old Wiimotes pretty cheap if you have to.

A game informer article, and Nintendo themselves stated that some games will still require the motion plus, and some games will continue to use the normal wiimote.
However, I would consider buying a motion plus, as it will most likely be utilized much more in the future.

Some games will require MotionPlus, and some won't. And in the case of Nintendo Land, only the attractions that take advantage of MotionPlus will require it.

But IMO it's still worth looking for at least the MotionPlus attachment for the regular Wiimote, just in case a game you want requires it.

Yeah, I have noticed them always referring to the motion+ version when talking about it. I'd kinda think that the old Wii reverse compatibility mode will be able to use older controllers. If that's true then I don't think they can stop developers making that an option and usually game developers don't want to limit themselves to only certain customers that have a certain accessory so I would guess that at least for a lot of games ... in particular 3rd party titles ... there's no reason to think that they wouldn't be compatible.

First party Nintendo titles (Like Nintendo Land that you mentioned) I can also see Ninty trying to get people to go buy more hardware so they might make them incompatible on purpose but that would probably end up in bad publicity so maybe not.

Don't have any official source for that, though. Just speculation.

EDIT : Okay, some people DO have sources. That's good news.

Nintendo has stated that Wii U will be compatible with all Wii peripherals. No idea whether that means just for Wii games, or for Wii U games as well.

That said, NSMBU uses the Wiimote for multiplayer, and I can't imagine that requiring the motion plus. I do know that Metroid Blast in Nintendo Land requires the Motion Plus, though.

But I already have them without ... I also have a Motion+ add-on brick accessory.
That's no problem, then. They'll definitely be compatible with a regular wiimote with the motion plus dongle attached, no issue. And the games that don't require motion plus (NSMBU) shouldn't have any issues.

I'm perhaps not reading the same source, but at at least one point Reggie said it's going to be compatible with "most" wii peripherals. While regular wiimotes seem obvious, I really have my doubts on my USB microphone.

Actually, you're right. I forgot that bit. :P

That said, NSMBU is confirmed to work with Wiimotes, and not once did anyone mention that they have to be Wii Remote Pluses. So the more I think about it, the more I think regular Wiimotes are compatible. Especially since the Wii U has a sensor bar and needs to be compatible with regular Wiimotes for regular Wii games anyway, I can't imagine it would make sense to arbitrarily "block" regular Wiimotes from function with Wii U games if they dont need motion plus.

(not saying that YOU'RE saying they won't be, I'm just sort of thinking aloud, lol)

I'd imagine all Wii U games would need the Wii mote plus.
But you should be able to use normal Wii motes if you wanted to play old Wii games (that aren't made for Wii plus) on your Wii U.

And there's really no denying that WIi U games that use the Wiimote in a sideways gamepad format don't need motion plus (like NSMBU).
