Is it just me or does the Wii U tablet look really small? I can't tell if it's because it's actually miniature or the player's hands are huge.
They made it smaller for their baby demographic.
The screen is the same size (6.2"). It's just the overall design that became more ergonomic. They made it smaller for their baby demographic. Is it just me or does the Wii U tablet look really small? I can't tell if it's because it's actually miniature or the player's hands are huge.
Seriously though the tablet got a significant downsize from its initial reveal all those years ago and for the better. Instead of an unwieldy tablet with buttons it's now more of a controller with a screen.
I wonder if there would be a way to actually compare the sizes of the prototype and the final version. did we ever get an official measurement for both of them? The screen is the same size (6.2"). Or both ... up to six players per console with a 4-way split screen and 2 gamepads. All I know, is that split screen multiplayer is gonna be dual screen multiplayer now
So if you can use the pad as a screen replacement it would make WiiU a damn nice console for travels where you got access to eletricity with no screen. And guess what! Almost everywhere has that! And with that size of the pad it just make it more irresistible.
That would be nice.I wouldn't be surprised if a company makes a car charger for it.

Then I wouldn't have to use one of these

I don't think it can do that. All the Nintendo Direct mentioned was that you could do two player with one on the TV, and one on the gamepad. Also, the stated reason for no individual gamepads being sold in America at launch is because no launch window games coming out in America support 2 gamepads. So I would assume that means Black Ops 2 doesn't support 2 gamepads, either.Or both ... up to six players per console with a 4-way split screen and 2 gamepads.
(actually, I kinda remember seeing a 5-way split screen in E3 videos, but I don't remember for which game)
Good point, but at least there's a possibility of 5 players with local play (4-way split + gamepad)I don't think it can do that. Has CoD ever allowed 4 player split-screen gameplay? I could be wrong, but I remember MW3 only allowing 2 player split-screen play for online play (and no offline campaign co-op).Good point, but at least there's a possibility of 5 players with local play (4-way split + gamepad)
It's not waiting in Japan. There are some Japan-exclusive games that utilize both gamepads, which is why they're selling extra gamepads at launch in Japan. it just so happens that none of the American Wii U games at launch will support two gamepads, making selling them pointless. It kinda makes me wonder, though, what exactly is the limitation why 2 gamepad games have to wait. Is it not in the SDK yet? Is it too GPU intensive to process the the third screen? Anyway, I digress.
