Looks like Sony is offering Public Beta invites to PSASBR for both PS3 and the Vita. You can register for it here. All you need to do is sign in with your PSN account then wait. I'm pretty excited for it, this will definitely make me pull my PS3 out again. The Beta is said to be from September 11th to September 18th.

EDIT: Also, DO NOTE THAT THIS IS NOT A "PSASBR IS A SUPER SMASH BROS CLONE " THREAD.

I was a cheap shit and didn't get a warranty, so it's a $130 repair cost through Sony. $130 I don't have.

Oh, it probably wouldn't though. I'm sure he could attempt to send it in regarding another problem (L button doesn't work) and they might just replace it. I managed to fool Nintendo's repair service like that.

I bought new but I didn't buy through Sony. They don't have factory warranty unless it's defective. And a broken screen isn't "defective".

Yeah dropping the vita normally isn't convered by warranties. Only a few stores has them, in which you pay extra (which he didn't) to get that.

Has anyone gotten an invite to this yet? They stopped taking apps ~48 hour ago, and the beta itself starts next week according to many websites.
