Let me rephrase that. The site itself revolves around backups and homebrew, not piracy. Do the members? Some. Does that mean the entire site is all about piracy? No.
you did not rephrase anything. you just repeated yourself and added something about members of the site. some members? I doubt it is "some" and more like the majority of members have or still do pirate.
However this does not mean that they don't share a mentality like I do that developers deserve being supported for their work. I WANT to spend money on the games and music i enjoy because I want to support the people behind it. in this case though, even if he was to go out and buy it, it would be a second hand item, that the person he gets it from probably didn't pay for anyways because it was a promotional disc, so they then gain all the profit.
This still doesn't make it any less asinine to tell someone to "buy the game" to fix their problem using a loader. Even if it was a backup(which still isn't legal in many countries; even some backups and homebrew stir up copyright concerns.) he is still looking for an answer in regards to his LOADER problem.
No the site isn't "all about piracy", rather it boast a myriad of eclectic topics, meaning there are vast amounts of ideas and information being shared from many different sources, but piracy is still a huge part of this site; it always has been and forever will be, regardless of how many times you self proclaimed "internet white knights" go around looking for reasons to tell people that piracy isn't condoned even though there are mods(who also pirate or have at some point) here to determine if what is posted is allowed or not allowed to be discussed.
I would also like to extend my deepest apologies to @[member='centrix'] for getting into this in your thread and big ups for @[member='zerofalcon'] and @[member='098v']
