Hey everybody. I made a stupid mistake of not having priiloader installed(Because I installed a new wii theme) and my wii is bricked... I went to wad manager and I had a wad for a theme. So I installed it and decided I disliked it. So I uninstalled it and now my wii has a complete brick. The warning page wont even come up. Is there ANYTHING I can do? I am a speedrunner and rly need this wii. The memory I can do without though.

Ouch ... yes, the theme basically IS your system menu so uninstalling it means you have no more system menu. Sorry to be the one to break bad news to you but unless your Wii is older than you're letting on and you have BootMii as Boot2 or you have a NAND dump and some rather technical equipment laying around to the house you have a paperweight.

You MIGHT be in luck then. I think there are some files you need on the SD card to make the BootMii screen show up. You can get them through ModMii. If you're lucky you can boot the HBC through that and get to a WAD manager to install yourself a new system menu. (I have a newer Wii so I know I don't have a boot2 BootMii so I don't have much experience there.)

EDIT : does your drive light flash when starting up?

Does my drive light flash? Let's find out... Yes. Yes it does.
Okay, that's good news. I think that does show that you have BootMii as Boot2

EDIT : I'm looking for a link to the files but it's kinda hard to find. That's why I suggested ModMii.

EDIT2 : Oh, I just stumbled across this information : 2 flashes when the Wii starts up with no SD card in means you HAVE BootMii as Boot2. 1 flash means you DON'T.

EDIT3 : for anyone else later reading this thread, ModMii downloads the files from http://static.hackmii.com/bootmii_sd_files.zip

Thank god. Now, what needs to be done? lol I'm pacing I'm so nervous.

Edit: My wii controller won't sync to the console in it's current state, but as I remember, bootmii only uses the reset button and power button.

Edit Edit: What exactly is ModMii?

... One. BUT I think I have a Nand dump or maybe a Backup of my Wii?? I do remember setting a backup on bootmii in the tutorial I believe

Edit: Anybody have any idea what to do from here? D:

Edit2: I have priiloader still as a HB App if it is possible to get to HBC or load it from there. Or maybe there is a way to execute the file on the sd card? Anything?

:( sorry to get your hopes up then. ONLY ONE FLASH WITH NO SD CARD IN means it's still a Nintendo Boot2, not BootMii. Boot2 doesn't find a system menu and stops. There's nothing else the console knows how to do or will do. Even with a NAND dump you wouldn't be able to get to BootMii (apparently installed as an IOS, not Boot2) to put the backup back onto your NAND. I think there's some special equipment that might be used, opening up the Wii and unsoldering some stuff from the motherboard or something but it's not something you'd have laying around your house.) I think [member='deadlyfoez'] might know more about that but otherwise I'd have to pronounce it bricked.

EDIT : there's no harm getting the SD files and starting it up with the files on the card in the Wii but I wouldn't hold my breath.

double-click ModMii
type the following in the window that comes up (it should make sense with what's on the screen)

I Agree
[enter]
2
[enter]
BSD
[enter]
D
[enter]
Y
[enter]

It should download them and they will be in a folder called COPY_TO_SD the folder inside that folder (I think it's called "bootmii") you put in your SD card and put the SD card in the Wii. Then you turn it on and hope I'm wrong.

Nothing. hopefully DeadlyFoez Will know something about this. Because, There has to be a fix for this. But I mysteriously already had those files in the bootmii folder on the SD. Could that mean that I HAD it on boot2 or something?

Those files are needed to open the BootMii GUI even when it's installed as an IOS. They're usually put there when BootMii (and HBC) is installed so that's not that unusual. Usually, though, with the IOS version you'd have to run it from the HBC or some other app. It wouldn't start automatically with the Wii.

Something I do remember whilst soft modding, I had to change the name of the bootmii folder. And I think I have to change the name back. It was something in parentheses... I cant remember what though. Any Idea of what I am talking about?

EDIT: My wii can still take discs and stuff. Idk if that could help or not. Im just stating it's functional and I have been thinking that maybe it's possible to take out the Memory Unit and put in another? Or just clear that one and Download a System menu onto it?
