Huh, that was unusually late.

Is it maybe just the same as the US rom though? This is a DSi enhanced title, with region locking and animated game icon.
If it's anything like the Black/White release, you just have an english language game as opposed to American and UK games.

"The US had to wait even longer for a scene approved release" Eh??? I haven't seen the US version listed here, and watched this site constantly for it, care to list a gbatemp link or release no?

So this is DSi then, guessing it won't work on regular old DS lites, so we have to wait for a separate dump ...? ; /

Oh. I guess that means they don't have USA yet?

If you went to dubious rom sites, I'm sure you'd find the US rom.

But yeah, I'm not seeing a USA scene release in the NDS releases forum, using the search bar.

Thanks for the clarification, so does the retail DSi game also work in a regular DS, but only give the enhancements in DSi machines, or are there 2 different retail carts? Am hopelessly ignorant regarding DS/i issues, never did get round to buying one, would like a DSi XL if they ever come down in price though : )

A DSi enhanced game like this will play in any Nintendo DS or Nintendo DS Lite, it will just lack DSi enhanced features such as access to the extra processing power, enhanced WIFI which supports WPA encryption, or to the inside and outside cameras.

The most that Pokémon Conquest will get out of DSi enhancements is being able to connect online through WPA encryption rather than just WEP.

Hmm. Unlike BW, this game has region coding:

NTR-VPYP-EUR

The strange thing I found was that the American and Australian release had no region coding:

NTR-VPYT-???? [Blank]

Yet it didn't function on any foreign DSi (even the Japanese console). Even the Australian game was region locked when attempting to play this on a PAL DSi, yet you could play this on a foreign 3DS without issue and the DSi enhanced features would work (whatever they are), so these games weren't region locked fully, but if you ever wanted to play these games on a DSi (which is better for DS games), you were out of luck.

This game, however, wasn't developed by Game Freak, so Black & White 2 could very be region free (I hope, PAL game cases are horrendous) like BW1 as the release dates are so close together so why not just give everyone the same card. 3DS interaction will likely not mean anything as the Dream Radar could very well be language locked like Pokemon Battle Revolution, where you could import Pokemon from a US game Gen IV onto the PAL copy of PBR without issue and the same (I think) for the Pokeshifter. It's also cheaper to distribute without a region as then you don't go through the trouble of having to producing 2-3 SKUs, which is likely what happened with the US and Australian copies of Conquest (and what definitely happened with BW1).
