I received my very first Wii today, It's softmodded with Homebrew channel installed.
Right now all I have is a 2gig USB stick and a 4gig SD card. I was wondering what the best backup loader would be for booting backups off the SD card. I've tried using CFG USB-loader v70 but whenever I try booting a backup off that via the SDcard it just freezes without booting anything, forcing me to hard reset by unplugging my Wii.
I've been using the USB stick for apps and wanting to use the SD card for booting my backups. Any advice, tips or guides anyone would mind linking me to?
I format my SD card with WBFS manager 3.0 and copy my games over to the card using that. Could that have to do with the problem?

Edit:

Whenever I try booting a game from SD card it says

Booting Wii game, please wait...

IOS(250) .....

Then it just seems to freeze after that, doing nothing.

Second Edit:

Just tried launching it off NeoGamma R8 and got "Connection to WBFS lost"

Neogamma r8?
use modmii to update your prev softmods (when it asks just say your wii is vrgin.)

And this would solve what...?
It should solve all loading issues and also get your Wii up to date on all IOS and loaders.

Mind walking me through the ModMii process step by step or linking to a guide?
This is literally my first time ever using a Wii for anything at all. Just got it today pre-modded.

Edit,

Okay so I'm looking through this and what I apparently want to do is go to
Option 1, Then at "Would you like to update all your existing softmods" Just check yes?

Do I want to update to system menu 4.3?

Here's the official ModMii topic:

Official ModMii thread

You can get all the answers to your questions in there.

Well one last question, Should I update to 4.3 from 4.2?
No. 4.1>4.2>4.3
Everything past 4.1 was designed to brick region changed Korean Wii's, prevent region free gameplay on modchips, and block homebrew.

So specific system versions aren't required for games on the Wii like other consoles?

No, the System Menu has nothing to do with games.

Just be aware that some games will try to update your Wii to System Menu 4.3. I, personally, have had no issues with 4.3, but that is because my Wii shipped with 4.3 installed.
