Hacking best modchip for d2c

so recently i unistall my old modchip d2c pro gw 601 because it can't play newer games
my question is wiikey 2 installable on my wii d2c?
and what if i have drive pins cut,would i have any problem install wiikey2?

get a wode. It's a little more expensive, but it is far better.

But better than that is to just mod your wii using ModMii and then play all your games from a USB drive.

Wiikey 2 works with D2C and cut-pin D2B drives. WODE is a nice hardware solution, but these days I'd suggest using a softmod with a USB loader and DIOS MIOS and/or Devolution for Gamecube games.

Ah... you're correct about Devolution... DIOS MIOS does not require disc verification and will soon support audio streaming. On that note, I found that Wiikey 2's audio streaming fix did not work with D2C(2). Audio streaming games would either produce distorted sound or result in an error. Thus far, the only D2C chip that I've heard of which has a working audio fix is D2CKey. If audio streaming is important to you, is there any chance that you can official D2CKey firmware on your existing chip?

Ah... you're correct about Devolution... DIOS MIOS does not require disc verification and will soon support audio streaming. On that note, I found that Wiikey 2's audio streaming fix did not work with D2C(2). Audio streaming games would either produce distorted sound or result in an error. do you know if the d2ckey solderless with wiiclip v1 works too with gc audio streaming,coz i am not an expert on soldering

What was wrong with the D2C Pro? With many older modchips it is possible to run most, if not all, of the newer games with patched discs and/or Trucha patched IOS. So, it may not have been necessary to remove it. The reason why I asked about using the D2CKey firmware is because the D2C Pro appears to be a clone of the D2CKey; however, I don't know if it can actually be programmed with D2CKey firmware. In another thread, Wiisel reported that D2CKey has a working GC audio fix. I have not verified that myself. Did audio streaming games work properly with D2C Pro? If D2CKey works with a wired install, it should work with a Wii-clip (though my experience has been that Wii-clips are not too reliable). I do know that Wiikey 2 messes up audio streaming, as do Wiizard and Wasabi Zero. YAOSM 3.2 works perfectly, and might be worth looking into along with this D2A drive controller board. But I would still suggest going the USB route with a softmod instead and wait for DIOS MIOS to add audio streaming support.

yeah thx for the tips man,audio straming not working with d2cpro.eternal darkness and star fox adventure plays distorted sounds
