Well, I am getting *really* frustrated as I play this game because I keep losing my save file. Does this happen to anyone else?
I assumed that this game only saves after you beat a boss or "mid-boss" but I don't ever see it popping up a box that says "saving now..." or something like that. I assumed this because if I beat a level and then exit the game, it has never seemed to save. SO, I started beating levels in sets of 4 (to get to a boss) and that seemed to work. I would beat the boss, go back to the main menu, start again, and then exit.
Well yesterday I just beat the second half of World 2 and did exactly what I just said. When I opened up the game today, I am back on the "mid-boss" of World 2. This wouldn't be a big deal if it didn't take SEVERAL hours to beat 4 levels (I am trying to get 100 points on each.)
Now I don't even want to pick up the game and play those 4 levels again because I am worried about it losing the save again. I can't believe they didn't at least add a "quick save" into the GBA games. It is a serious pain to pick up a game and be forced to play it until you get to a boss. Of course you can't exit even to the home menu so it's a pretty big commitment. I haven't played too many of the other GBA titles, but I'm sure it's a problem on other titles as well.
So has anyone experienced this? Any tricks to getting the game to save? If you play this, do you just do what I do: play the game until you beat a boss? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
