Hacking so can the acekard2i play nds games on a 3ds?

As long as the acekard has been updated to work with the latest 3ds firmware, then yes.

the firmware blocks the flash kit from booting, but once the flash kit boots it runs in ds-mode. this is an ongoing battle between nintendo and the flash kit developers. currently the latest dsi firwmare and 3ds firmware provide no challenge, supported flash kits will boot just fine.

Not yet, the Acekard team is yet to release their bootloader update for the Acekard, it will come probably in the next two weeks or so.
As of yet it works with 3DS 4.2.0-9 with the latest bootloader update, which you can download on their website (acekard.com).

Look at the timestamp, I got ninja'd, SHEESH! /sarcasm
I didn't do it on purpose, and nobody mentioned that it doesn't work with the latest firmware update 4.3.0-10, so there.
Anyway just read that the 3DS XL comes with firmware 3.1.0-6 out of the box, so he should be able to get his Acekard working, if he can get his Acekard updated and doesn't update his 3DS XL until the new bootloader update is out.

and make updates so late that even 3DS updates faster then they.

And why it was so fast before compared to now.
