Cole McGrath, Jak and Daxter Coming to Playstation All-Stars

Two more players, inFamous' Cole McGrath and Jak and Daxter's titular characters, are coming to the upcoming Sony mash up fighter.

The trailers (viewable at the source) show a bit of what Cole and Jak and Daxter can do. Cole utilizes a mastery of elemental attacks, from lightning to ice to wind, to clear the battlefield, while Jak and Daxter team up with a large array of weaponry.

The game is still scheduled for an October 23rd release for both the Playstation 3 and Playstation Vita.

Anywho, Looks like people got their inclusion of jak and daxter (not that it wasn't a given they'd be there.) Looks to me that they aren't doing a bad job of keeping their players balanced. I look forward to seeing more info.

They're been using the "Here comes a new challenger" for like every character announcement trailer.

I'm just wondering if this is the final roster or if there's more. I'd be severely disappointed if this was it.

Oh god, he doesn't fit at all in the game. What a horrible choice although I suppose there aren't many characters for Sony to choose from, anyways.

This is the first challenger video thingy I've actually watched so I hadn't seen it I always read news about new characters but never watched any videos.

I forgot that flying around and shooting beams is a Nintendo-only thing.

But I'm hoping they round off the roster with Sackboy, Ratchet and Clank, Gabe Logan (if they're too poor to get to get a Snake), that MediEvil guy, and I dunno, some Final Fantasy character.

It's basically free publicity for Square Enix so there's no reason they wouldn't. They already got two third party characters (Heihachi and Big Daddy), there's no reason why they wouldn't get characters from a franchise that has been Sony leaning for the past 15 years.

EDIT: I wouldn't like it but Tidus from FFX would fit being that FFX is PS2 exclusive and there's an upcoming HD remakeport of it. Although Cloud is definitely the more iconic Final Fantasy-Sony character.

Jokes aside, Squeenix doesn't like to run with characters. It would only be free advertising if they went out of their way to choose the rare character with an actual running series.
