Really cool co-op demo.
too bad, I always play alone :(
I'll have to find a friend to enjoy it.

One complain: at 3:10 we can see the Classic Controller pro U (or whatever the name), with a cable attached to the top?
Damn, I thought they were wireless.

if it's just the battery cable, they don't need to represent it onscreen, do they? :/

It will be wireless upon release if I understood Big N correctly.
Currently for demo purposes it still comes wired.

Still very nice demo.
Played a short bit of Rayman 3 Hoodlum Havoc last night (while testing Dios Mios a bit) and well the Legends franchise is just so much different but both have their charm :)

They are wireless, but they don't want to risk running out of batteries during the event.
Co-op is included with every trailer/demo since that's what they are promoting right now but every level will be playable in single player mode so no worries there.

Yeah, but Co-op looks great. I would like to try it too.

I'm talking about the picture on scree, not the real controller.
it's represented with a cable, maybe it's just the official design to use in-game. I was just wondering why they showed a cable, little details, but no worries :P

Oh, I didn't watch the whole video so I assumed that there were pro controllers there, well I'm guessing it's because the demo is a pre-E3 build made when the pro controllers weren't fully finalized yet.
Didn't notice the 3:10, sorry.
And the onscreen part... yeah, I'm stupid sometimes...

I think you plug it in the Wiimote. Kinda like the original Classic controller.
Then there wouldn't be any need for a redesign.
The Wii U is compatible with the old CC's, they redesigned it so that you don't have to own a Wiimote in order to play multilayer games.
Imagine playing a 4 player game that uses standard controls, that would mean that you have to own 3 Wiimotes and 3 Pro controllers (and the Wii U gamepad of course).

I haven't been gaming for such a long time. Been mostly busy with sleep, hardware tinkering and checking GBAtemp frequently.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Hope you've had a good morning.
  • Maximumbeans @ Maximumbeans:
It's going alright thanks :) I know what you mean with gaming time. It's precious where I can get it these days.

I think that's why I focus on just enjoying single player experiences that aren't too competitive
  • Maximumbeans @ Maximumbeans:
    How are you doing?
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
There's also this thing where I'm hyperfocused at night and cannot get to sleep.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
    @Maximumbeans, I'm doing alright, thanks.

That must be rough. Productive I'm sure but hard to balance with daily life

@Maximumbeans, Indeed. I've been working on getting this Infecutus chip to work on my PS2. But after soldering, I realised that a plastic piece was missing from the power ribbon cable to the power and eject buttons.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Now I could go with soldering the contacts from the cable to the connector on the mobo, but doesn't sound like a good permanent solution.
  • Maximumbeans @ Maximumbeans:
Man, that's beyond my brain  I'm no good with hardware for now. I'd like to get into hardmods in future though
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Maximumbeans, Maybe start practice soldering. Get a cheap-ass soldering iron and follow some good YouTube tutorials.

Least my experience has gotten better than over a decade ago. My iron would constantly bump into components and break them.
  • Maximumbeans @ Maximumbeans:
Sounds good. I actually did soldering but like 16 years ago for school so uuuuh probably rusty haha
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Maximumbeans, Same here. I did soldering at school from a teacher who I honestly liked since he had plenty of good electronics experience.

@Maximumbeans, I had a friend who had a glass chess set for their birthday.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
It was like all clear and fancy. Tbf I'm not too experienced with chess, but would like to learn someday.
  • Maximumbeans @ Maximumbeans:
    That sounds really cool

I know the basics but no strategy at all

Watch chess streamers on Twitch and you'll pick up a thing or two.

Not to mention there's an infinite number of chess games for every possible platform.
