If you don't mind me asking, will there a Pokesav editor for Pokemon Black 2 and Pokemon White 2?
Please do not say "there is Pokegen" or "Pokegen is better" as Pokegen can't do all the things Pokesav can (at least last I checked).

DO NOT use Pokesav. It's not updated and will corrupt your save. I learned the hard way. Sorry, but you're stuck with Pokegen for the time being, unless you enjoy having to restart your progress.

I'm not using PokeGen, it only edit pokemon and user interface is very unfriendly. I find Pokesav alot better then PokeGen. And as for corrupted save, that would be your own fault. I've used pokesav since Diamond/Pearl generation and not once did my save file get corrupted.

Well too bad, since it's the only thing that does it right now.

They meant trying to use it with B/W2.

In response to the OP's question, AFAIK the dude responsible for creating the past few PokeSav versions isn't/hasn't made one yet. IIRC he/she wasn't even responsible for the BW one. Either way, ProjectPokemon (well at least that's where I first found out abt Pokesav and I think they are the ones who translate the thing) kinda dropped it in favour of Pokegen. Other features that you might need prob have some separate tool unfortunately. :(

...how would an english translation patch have an effect on a japanese save editing tool?

and no, pokesav is total shit. literally the only thing it can do that pokegen can't is trainer info editing for a given save, and i think that feature is coming anyway.

here's a good thread about it:

How is Pokegen not user friendly? It tells you everything about every feature if you hover over it.

That does me no good. PokeGen is complicated when I want to do something simple.

That would be my thread, asking if Pokesav for B/W 2 was in the works. And PokeSav is simple, easy to use, and get the job done. PokeGen is too complicated; over complicating things when I want to do something simple.

I've tried PokeGen, and I couldn't even figure out how to edit my Pokemon's data and save it. It tells the location of where you caught it, how it was caught, and when it was caught incorrectly. Least PokeSav got that simple thing down.

you don't know how to use pokegen, so pokesav is better. ok.

e: what about fanboys? what are you even talking about? i know how much time and effort codr puts into pokegen and i don't like it when people who have no clue what they're talking about start insulting it. especially over vague, unexplained points that are almost nonsensical.

i would love to see pokesav for b/w2 because you can edit more on the save file. Not only Items and pokemons. D,:

Actually, considering that your party and box is right there on the first screen in Pokegen versus you needing to click into sub-menus in Pokesav, Pokegen gives you pokemon editing quicker. :P

1 - Open save in Pokegen.
2 - Right-click a pokemon, click "view data".
3 - Notice that the pokemon's data goes to the left-hand side. Edit it.
4 - Right-click the pokemon you edited, click "set".
5 - Save the save.

Done.

Wow, if so many coders put so much time into PokeGen, why does it show Pokemon's Data incorrectly? I just used it now and it telling me I caught the pokemon in a building when I caught it in Tall Grass. It also show the incorrect date of when it caught incorrectly as well as how I caught it (what pokeball and such).

PokeSav is simple and easy to use. PokeGen is complicated, requires you to do some "research" or find a guide to do something simple, and does not show the Pokemon Data correctly.

yeah, where do you hit the button to save the data? Also, it shows Pokemon's Data incorrectly. The location is wrong, where I caught teh pokemon is wrong, and how it was caught is wrong.

Like I said, PokeSav is simple to use. I don't have to click "Set" for each edit pokemon then try to find the "save" button to save.. I can just click the save button after I'm done with ALL my editing in PokeSav

You're confusing "easy to learn" with "easy to use". Pokegen is more difficult to learn, not more difficult to use. Once you know where the buttons/functions are, it works fine.

As for the data not being correct, make sure that the "target game" in pokegen is the right game the pokemon came from.

It is, I have it set for Pokemon Black/White and it's still showing things correct for my pokemon data. I really don't see how this is better. I would like for things to show the pokemon data correctly and not mess them up.
