So I'm fairly sure that Nintendo has no plans on bringing the Miiverse to the Wii. I wonder if there would be some way to bring that soon to be, awesome action over to the little white box. It would be interesting if the message boards shown in the Nintendo Direct video will be available through a browser. Maybe there could be a app that will fetch messages. Even better would be a situation where, the app could use WiiConnect 24 and "blue light" your system every time you received a message. Heck, even if this wasn't used to connect Wii and WiiU users, I could see an enhanced GBATemp app with Mii sharing. Speaking of Miis, why don't we have Miis here? (just saying...)

What's so awesome about the MiiVerse?

It's not compatible with any profiles anyone uses nowadays - no Google+, Facebook, Twitter etc. integration makes it just another social network rather than a proper "universe" for gamers. It's going to be annoying more than anything.

Yeah, because the best gaming universe is to have unnecessary connections to things most gamers don't use, which can be used via internet browser.

Who the hell is going to get annoyed because a gaming console doesn't have TWITTER?

The very idea behind MiiVerse is connectivity - connectivity which it offers is very limited though. Updating statuses on communities is the FIRST thing that should cross a designer's mind when creating a system like this.

They already said they are going to put things like twitter and facebook on the WiiU, why does it need to be intergrated into Miiverse and force people who dont want to hear about how their friend just walked a fucking cat cultering up the gaming news. I can see giving you the option to show facebook updates or something like that after you download the app via Miiverse but not in the actual system itself.

The MiiVerse will have no such functionality - every service is supposed to get a separate app, nothing is unified, everything is fragmented.

I'm not talking about being informed about everyone's and their dog's tweets - you have Settings for that. I'm talking about the option to integrate the services, which simply isn't there.

I'm very excited about MiiVerse and can't wait to use it on my 3DS,XL and WiiU but I wish nintendo made it somewhat similar to xbox live or PlayStation Home WithOut MonthlyFees.

There's no Facebook connectivity on Twitter. There's no Twitter connectivity on Facebook. There's no Facebook connectivity on Google+. Why would MiiVerse be any different considering it's a social network?

Internet browser, internet browser, INTERNET BROWSER.

USE THAT IF YOU WANT TWITTER.
You don't seem to grasp the idea behind "integration of services" very well, hmm?

It's not like it matters TO ME, as I'm not going to use the MiiVerse, nor do I use Google+ or any other social network. Facebook is the only platform I do use since I exchage notes with other students that way.

I don't need social networks - I have actual friends. What I was pointing out is that if you want to connect gamers then connect them over as many networks as possible and in one streamline GUI - is that too much to ask?

Well considering that Miiverse and Facebook and Twitter will have almost nothing in freaking common, YES, it's too much to ask.

AGAIN, want Facebook and Twitter on the Wii U? USE THE BROWSER. No one cared about Facebook and Twitter on consoles before, no one cares now. No one is going to use MIIVERSE to do what they can do on something almost everyone else has (as in, computers, smartphones, and tablets).
