Hacking How to recover phat (Samsung) DVD after flashing failure?

About half a year ago I was trying to restore my stock firmware so that I could update my 360's dash but it failed mid-flash (I think the SATA cable was a bit dodgy) and I haven't touched it since. Is it possible to recover the drive from this at all and get that stock firmware back onto it?

If you still have your drive key then yes it's possible if you have a X360 USB.

Make sure it's powered and press on Intro/Device ID.
Power off your drive and press Yes then power it on again.
If all goes right then you should have your Flashchip info back and you can proceed with the normal flashing method

Otherwise I'd suggest RGHing your 360 or selling it as a RGHable 360.
Given that fact that you're probably still on either 13xxx or 14699.

Don't have a X360 USB, but I think the system is still on 13599 so I might take a crack at RGHing it sometime in the future. Thanks.

Note that with RGHing your console you'll never be able to go back on XBLive (unless you have a Dual NAND and a recovered drive/new Sammy drive.

Sammys appeared in Xenons Zephyr (not sure about Falcons tho) consoles so I hope that you got a Zephyr 360.
Xenons are somewhat hard to glitch (pretty unreliable) and Zephyr's are stubborn but glitchable (it just takes longer to boot)
