On July 1st Nintendo is implementing large coin drops for completed surveys on many of its products. For instance the DSi drops from 160 to 100 and eShop games from 10 to 5 coins. For a complete list of the changes, check out the source link from Nintendo.

Since we're getting less points than before for doing the same thing, wouldn't that mean the value is increasing?

Well I guess now is a good time to spend the 1100 coins I have... 3ds case, Zelda posters, and the downloadable donkey Kong game for me it is then.

If the number of coins being given out is decreasing then the value of the coins is going up... that's not exactly hard to understand. Unless you mean the value of unregistered products, in which case their value is decreasing (though only if the rewards stay the same price).

The title makes it seem like the values of coins themselves will be dropping, i.e. that Club Nintendo items will cost more coins now.

i have 1000 + coins on my account Hurray for going to gamestop and taking a picture on all the nintendo used games which most of them have unused club nintendo codes :D smart huh?
