Some believe that the reason for its large share in that region is the the fact that Chrome simply awesome.
ftfy

I love Chrome, best browser imo, although just ahead of FF. (Even though Google Chrome team have added a few stupid thing recently - the chrome store button where recently closed button was and the fact your can't reorder or pin your most visited page any more.)

Yay!
Why is IE still being used though?!?
It's because IE is the default browser in any computer with Windows installed, so a lot of people who aren't really tech savvy still use it.
Google Chrome however is getting more and more common as it's faster and still very easy to use plus it's gets advertised on Google's search engine, a page probably used on a regular basis by more than 90% of the total Internet user base.

kingvamp i think u are a fan of firefox but me being a previous fanatic of firefox, must say that by performance, chrome does it best

its light fast and stable. nowadays i feel firefox is becoming unstable and heavy. although there are some things that it has that chrome will be getting in the future esp add-ons. but otherwise, u should try chrome and firefox side by side for a week and check it urself.

I didn't know people used the 'recently closed' button; Ctrl+Shift+T is so much easier. More or less the same with the Most Visited page; it's usually no more than 5-7 keystrokes to get to a page you frequently visit - F6 + first 1-3 letters of the URL + enter. Down key once maybe a few times before enter if you're looking for a specific page on the same domain, Ctrl+t if you need to open a tab rather than using the existing one.

+ loads of businesses still use it, mostly because some programs/sites/.... aren't up-to-date and only work with IE 6 or so.

^That's the main reason that has kept me from switching, I have so many plug-ins like firebug, a youtube video download button etc. I'm so familiar with the browser that I don't see why I should switch .

Since my firefox gave problems, slow booting, freezing etc, i've changed to chrome, and tbh i think google is the future!
All hail the mighty Google overlords. I +1 the way they protect my Circle from the adjacent Facebook alliance and their evil timelines.

I'm not a Chrome user myself. FireFox has always worked fine for me so I've never had any reason to change.

I use it all the time. I'm more of a mouse user than keyboard user - like to see what I'm doing.

@[member='Narayan'] You used to be able to pin your most visited sites on the 'new tab' page so that they don't move around / swap with others. You also used to be able to reorder the most visited - this has also been disabled. I think Google took it a bit to literally with the 'most visited'.

I tried it a long time ago,but I didn't remember a reason to keep it. I might try it again someday.
All hail the mighty Google overlords
I for one, welcome our new google overlords.

here's an idea, let's not turn this into a 6 paged firefox vs. chrome thread.
What's the fun in that? :3

Also, @ people saying about plugins - nearly every plugin you can get on firefox is now available on chrome too + more. Plus it's REALLY easy to install new extensions in the chrome web store, literally 2 clicks and it's installed.
