On a PC (Windows, Mac or Linux) use WIT or any of it's GUIs.
That doesn't help with extracting single files.
qtwitgui can extract files easy as well as build iso's, pretty useful tool tbh, used it to compile punemu a few times as well as several other iso's http://code.google.com/p/qtwitgui/
Maybe for Linux, but not for Windows.

Come on Joostin, :P

once you open an image you can then save it to various file types like, .iso, .wbfs, .wia and others, as well as fst (individual files)

But you can't extract a single file, you have to extract them all.
You see, the question wasn't about a single file anyways. Joostin, I think you may need to take a rest for the night, your fail in this thread is far more than usual. :P

Well its still the contents of the disk he was asking (didn't mention Wii or PC homebrew lol)

Yeah your right, im not sure you can yet, don't think Punes worked on it for a while now to support single file extraction/insertion but im sure the whole disc would need re-calcing anyway if it had been modified to create the fst.bin

Lol, I was well aware of the original question. I simply pointed out that, at least on Windows (IDK about Linux/OSX), it's not going to be helpful if he ever wants to extract just one file.
