Hello, I've purchased an HP 165w 32GB thumbdrive and it seems to cause the loaders to freeze, no matter how I format it/what I format it with. I've tried wbfs loader and Wii backup manager with USB LoaderGX, cfgLoader and Wii Flow. with absolutely no luck. Is there any way to get it to work at all?

If nobody reported it working once, it could be one of those incompatible devices.
Is the hbc capable of seeing homebrew on it. (that one uses ios58 with usb 2.0)
Are you having the latest d2x cios? They have some improvements for usb and use a different usb 2.0 driver.
Are you sure the stick isn't having some kind of hidden partition to make it U3 compatible? If that is the case, you can search for tools to remove U3

-It is showing up via the HBC.
-I do have the latest d2x cIOS (not the beta).
-Doesn't seem to have U3 Launchpad or any other hidden partition.

The only thing common with all those usb loader is likely the cios.
Maybe you could try a loader that uses hermes cios 222 if that's installed.

It's strange the loaders freeze.
You would expect them to come up with a message that they can't find a game partition, or a message to connect an usb drive.

Right, just installed the new d2x beta and it's now working...
I installed IOS249b56, for reference.
