Ok. I have a 16gb pny flash drive that was working fine yesterday. Today, I can't see it under my computer. Windows will make a sound acknowledging that it got plugged in when I put it into the drive slot. Under the device manager it shows XXXXXXXX U167CONTROLLER USB Device. It says the device is working properly but if I try to get it to populate the drive it says 0mb capacity. Under disk management I see removable but no media is listed under each. Any ideas or did this thing crap out on me?

Edit: This is on a win 7 pc. I put it in another computer with xp and under my computer the drive letter pops up when I insert it, but no storage space is listed nor can I access it. It says insert disk when I click the drive under my computer.

Sounds like the partition table might have bcome corrupt, which does seem odd because usually any issues would happen within the filesystem of the partition, not in a higher area.

Might want to see if some partition/drive recovery software can get at it. It's sort of a hassle, but testdisk is what I recommend simply because it's always shown me what's actually up, whereas other programs often don't report nearly enough info about what's up.

I tried this but the utility could not even see the device. I'm guessing that means I'm SOL?

Hi All of u.......

Try to use this: Urescue v1.3.0.71 software download it and use it....

If you use win 7, please set compatibility mode to Win XP SP2 and run as administrator.

I Hope it works for your drive.
