So what drove Kojima to "practically beg" Sakurai to get Snake in the game? "My child likes Super Smash Bros., so we play it a lot together. And he told me that there's no character that you made in that game," Hideo Kojima told a group of interviewers late last week ahead of the Smithsonian's "The Art of Videogames" exhibit. Aside from his son's pleading, Kojima pointed to Metal Gear's low profile on Nintendo consoles as a second reason.

Edit: I should've put Brawl in the title but whatever.

Kojima's son must be a Ninty fanboy.
Guess we now know who to blame for the mediocre MGS3 port on the 3DS.
Did he bash Sony/MS?

He didn't say anything. How can you be so sure?

On topic: LOL. I bet I can throw in millions of ponies into SSB then.

Oh that must be a satisfying feel, to play Smash Brothers with your son, and be able to say you created one of the characters

What about the great MGS1 remake on the Gamecube?
wasn't that done by Silicon Knights with Konami just over looking the project.

Uh.....I was trying to make a joke (not a very good one, I suppose)
For a self proclaimed perfectionist, Kojima really droppped the ball with MGS3D.

Lol chill dude. Not scolding you. :x

But yes, Kojima really dropped it with the 3D port. It isn't that bad, but it just wasn't worth it. Probably if this came much before the HD collection maybe things will change.

Someone likes Nintendo so they are fanboys?
Good logic you got there!
You didn't read the comment he made about the thing being a joke (which, according to him, wasn't very clear in this case).

OT: This really starts reminding me of Foo Fighters and the album they made at one of the band member's house (singer IIRC): "Daddy! I want to play and eat ice cream!" "Not now, I'm recording!" "Nooooooww!!" "Okay, okay, daddy is coming" :D
