Sega’s hopping aboard Sony’s PSP Remasters program, but not with Valkyria Chronicles orPhantasy Star Portable as you might have hoped. Their first PSP Remaster will be the rhythm game K-On! After School Live.

K-On! After School Live!! HD Ver. is slated for release sometime during early summer, according to this week’s Famitsu magazine. The game will support save data-sharing with the PSP version, stereoscopic 3D display, and multiplayer via Adhoc Party.

I'm glad for K-ON getting remastered but Sega will never release the PS3 version overseas. Valkyria Chronicles 3 might have had a chance. So I'm super sad.

And this is my 1000th post!!!!!!!!!!!!

You know the PS3 is region free and its only a rhythm game so its not like you would need to read much. Just import it or make a Japanese PSN account and download it

I'd yell at Sega for wasting time and resources, but it's not Sega Japans fault that VC3 isn't getting localized by their incompetent, lazy, useless English counterpart.

Rhythm games still have words. And I have to be able to read them.

If you just want to understand the songs, go watch some CoalGuys release of the animu.
The menu is so straight forward, even my mother (Let's just forget that she's chinese.) would be able to understand the interface.

Before jumping on SEGA is mean because no localizing train, understand that they can't localize this, the same with Monster Hunter Portable 3 HD.

Why? SCEA has a policy that requires all HD remasters to be two games or more. SCEA has all sorts of stupid policies such as not allowing releases of ports to the PS3 or PSP if they don't have much new content (but they have now removed this policy). That's why Breath of Fire III was never released in America.

One thing that just occurred to me.... The sound on the 2600 sucked less back then the harsh sound we hear now is from infinitely better speakers we have now, back when the 2600 was new speakers produced a almost muffled sound, like CRTs made old graphics look slightly better.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I wonder if I could recommend that to some emulation devs that perhaps the sound could use some smoothing out to simulate those old TVs
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think a few of the early systems could benefit from that, at least up to the 8 bit generation, by the 16 bit generation I think TVs had gotten a lot better in almost every way
