Hi all,

I'm not sure how many english J-RPGs with japanese dub are available for the DS, but I am interested in making a list with all those games and hope people can assist me. It's intended for my personal use but perhaps other people will find it usefull as well. If such a thread already exists you have to pardon me as I was not able to locate this particular thread. Official english localizations as well as fan translated games count.

Unfortunately I currently have a blackout or something as the only game I recall right now is Suikoden Tierkreis  Nonetheless I am going to update the first post when I have time.
  1. Suikoden Tierkreis (Undub)
  2. Disgaea DS (Undub)
  3. The World Ends With You (Undub)
  4. Atelier Annie
  5. Final Fantasy IV (Undub)
  6. Avalon Code (Undub)
  7. Summon Night Twin Age (Undub)
  8. Sands of Destruction (Undub)

Gambia, The
Disgaea DS has an undub, so does Time Hollow (tho that's not really an RPG), Atelier Annie has Japanese audio only in the US release, The World Ends With You also has an undub which is pretty useless tho as there's like 5 voiced lines outside of battle cries and such.

Final Fantasy IV, Avalon Code, Summon Night Twin Age, Sands of Destruction, Luminous Arc 1 & 2 have all been undubbed, all three Rune Factories have been as well, I'm not sure if they had been completely fixed tho as there were some troubles back then. I'm also not sure about the Kingdom Heart games, as far as I remember you could easily switch the audio files for the 300something Days one, but it always crashed for me at some point and I never bothered playing it then.. ^^;

Well, pretty much any game with voiced dialogue for the DS gets an undub by fanboys who think all English dubs are horrible and the only language video games should be in is Japanese. The fact that there aren't many DS games with voiced dialogue is what's keeping the list small.

Off the top of my head:
  • Disgaea DS - strangely for a NIS game, who usually do dual audio - only had English VA, but there was an undub. Must not have been space on the cart.
  • IIRC, the voice clips in Atelier Annie are in Japanese, but there aren't that many.
  • NIS left the songs in the DS port of Rhapsody (the only voiced dialogue in the game) in Japanese (ironically, this one got a REdub, where somebody re-inserted the English vocals from the PS version...)
  • Atlus left the voice clips in Super Robot Taisen: Endless Frontier in Japanese.
  • I believe there's an undub for Final Fantasy IV DS.
  • While Namdai never gave it an English localization, Tales of Innocence is 100% translated (by Absolute Zero), but (obviously, since this was a fan effort) all the voices were left in Japanese.
  • I THINK there were voices in Soma Bringer (never localized, but DarthNemesis translated it), which would obviously be in Japanese.
That's all I have for now, but you can search for War's old Translation Index, which had a few undub patches in among the translations.

EDIT: :ninja: 'd by Miruki...
Also, I think War's old index is gone; I searched but couldn't find it.

Hmm... I found a torrent with a bunch of undubbed games. I'll list them here, because the undubs are the actual games themselves and I don't want to get in trouble.

  4. Rhythm Heaven
  5. Bleach: Dark Souls
