Apple Should I sell my iPhone 4 and go for 4S?

Let me start off...

I have an iPhone 4 16GB and I feel like selling it now and get an iPhone 4S instead. I worry that when the supposed 5 comes out, the 4's value will drop down the deep shit. (it already dropped like $300 when the 4S came out)

As of now, my iPhone 4 can be sold at about $400 - 550 to retailers. A 4S 16GB costs $900 - 940.

Should I keep my 4? Or sell it to get a 4S? I have some spare cash which I can use. I can get a new iPhone from my carrier by the end of this year but my current phone is already out of warranty and has 'not too good' battery life. Either way, it's mainly about retaining phone value. Headache >.<

$400 - $500 is indeed very steep.

1. If I wait for the 5, chances are I'll pay $400+ for it with my 4 traded in (with a two year data plan). Retailers won't want it anymore.

2. I feel so left out! Everyone in Singapore seems to be using the 4S now. But, 4 hardly looks any different (besides the antennas).

3. If I get a 4S maybe I'll only need to pay like $150+ for the 5 (with the plan and of course with the phone traded in) or sell it to retailers for some profit of about $100.

Yeah... So I'm pretty much stuck.

I stated in the OP that I don't. Well reason being I am more used to the iPhone/iOS. It's not because Android is bad though. My dad is an avid android user and I personally like Android as well.

It's just... I'm more used to iOS. I don't really like switching.

If its $500> (which imo is quite unlikely), I'll really want to consider selling.

Wait for the next iPhone. The iPhone 4 has another few years of support in it yet, especially if Apple continue their 3 tier system next year.
If you want to sell your best bet is eBay, people will pay a LOT for iPhones. I was looking at 3GSes just before the iPhone4 came out and the 32GB ones were still up around £300-400 (for reference the iPhone4S 32GB here is £6xx)

I know it'll have support. I'm talking about value-wise.

Singapore is quite different than the US with regards to the iPhone, especially it's value. Buy-back/trade in prices normally fall drastically with any new release (this actually applies to ALL phones, not just iPhone).

Take iPhone 3GS for example, it used to be worth $400 - 500 when the 4 launched, but now it's literally worthless. Some shops might even reject it.

I'm worried about this. Topping up for a 4S is quite drastic - but I fear my 4 goes out of value (then I still need to pay like $400 - 500 for the next). That's why I created this. I'm really in a dilemma.

EDIT: nah I'll never sell on eBay. Had a horrible experience with it. I'll at most sell to local shops/retailers.

No. There is no reason. Siri is shit (for now) and besides you can get here with jailbreaks. The better camera is just a little better of a camera, nothing to write home about. I can see wanting a full GB of RAM, but its honestly not worth it right now. Just be patient.

The iPhone4 has 512mb of RAM.
The upgrades in the 4S are camera, processor, and GPU. Its basically an iPhone4 but faster.
