Uncharted: Golden Abyss gets Patched to version 1.01.
The day-1 patch weights 71MB and includes some bug fixes and support for Treasure Maps DLC Pack.

so for what i hear the patches get save to the gamecard it self right ?

Not sure about that, would like to know though. Would be strange to have it save to the game card if the game requires the Sony memory card to save progress. I know Uncharted GA needs a separate memory card to save game progress and does not use the game card.

just give me multiplayer and i wont trade this in next week lol.

Probably won't happen, I feel like Uncharted is essentially a large tech demo for the system. It shows off the graphics, controls, and all the different functions the system can play with. But it's not that long and for $50 seems like a bit of a rip off.

luckly i only payed 35$ for it, so it hurts less, but still i got through it pretty quick and after playing 2 and 3 knowing i have some solid MP to go through for a while it just seems like a half hearted effort that MP isnt in there. Also there is a sever lack of those big epic set piece moments in the game. I should have expected it though with it not being from the original devs. Just sad to a possible final iteration of the game is the one thats kind of slacking.

its a 3.2GB game on a 4GB cart so it has plenty of space. I think Sony pointed out that it was part of the reason they went to carts. DLC...charging you extra from what should have been on there already....

gonna be a sad day when my handheld starts getting day 1 DLC thats costumes and shit.

If it's not possible to make everything on release, it's not necessarily "meant to be there". Look at map packs, be it free or for a fee, it's not going to be possible to make that if there isn't enough room on the console or cart (depending on how the console works). At least this confirms something that is now possible: bug fixes and additional content for handhelds. Just waiting for a Bethesda title to be released for the PSV :creep:

that is the benefit, but we have all seen some of the horrid DLC things some companys pull and im sure the handhelds will get the same crap too.

It's not Day 1 if the First Edition bundle (and the game) has been out for 4 days already.
The First Edition Bundle is out and that does NOT include Uncharted, which will be out on Feb 22nd, so yes it IS day-1 .

So after further testing they found a bug and fixing it before release is bad? Why is this bad? There are many console games, not to mention handheld games that should be patched and still haven't been. Not to mention that their release dates have been ages ago. Also is patching games on all platforms even possible? :I

The update is to ready it for new, money grubbing DLC packs that were developed at the same time as the game for a cash grab.
That's bad.

Uncharted is did come out on the 14th
the same day as the
The First Edition Bundle
MANY VITA games came out the same day as the The First Edition Bundle did
PSN store update feb 14th

is a "day 1" for the wifi vita release (when MOST people are getting the system)
That's hardly the point. Unless you're implying the DLC was quickly developed in the last week before release?

This DLC is reported to be a special Near app to exchange treasure with nearby gamers, as well as finding new unique ones only obtainable through this add-on.

Well, that's... nice, I guess. I assume that the next patch will be greater in scope, adding in some more snark, witty banter, and pre-explosion one liners.

first off, like any decent content developer should know, the amount of content that makes the final product depends mainly on deadlines and planned content. DLC is also planned content--you can't make new assets on the fly without planning it. so in a way, DLC is also meant to be there, just not at the same time as the original release.

also, how do you make it so that 10% of the cartridge size is empty AND writeable? because i'm pretty sure the part where the game is is read-only. so do they add a bigger save chip or something?
