Even so, theres no way the DS could handle X7 or X8, and it wouldn't be worth the effort to port 4, 5, and 6 to the DS.

Aren't MMX2 and 3 difficult - if not impossible - to emulate on a DS because they both use proprietary graphics chips like the SuperFX chip?

X7 doesn't deserve to be acknowledged as existing. It is absolute shit.
X8 wasn't terrible, just brutally easy.

An MMX collection on either 3DS or PSP would be nice.

Yeah, I wanted Maverick Hunter X 2 and 3.

I imagine they could do some neat stuff with zero and the ride armors.

Then you should've bought the game. A whole 3D remake with an extra mode and a prequel anime movie, yet "Mega Man Maverick Hunter X" sold like absolute shite. You'd honestly think Capcom would continue with the idea?
A 3DS "X-Collection" would work, since I don't think the PSP could emulate X7 (lol who cares) or X8. That said, I was on the X7 board on Gamefaqs yesterday, and you wont believe the amount of people claiming "X7=Best game in X series".

'Cause if you're on GBATemp and you've played a game, that obviously means it's pirated. Hey, why don't you ask me how the non-existent pokemon on my non-existent pokewalker's doing? 'Cause my little abra'll be kinda' ticked you don't believe it exists. Then again it's not like it actually knows anything other than teleport as of yet...

Anyways I had X collection for the PS2 (my little brother bought it for me and I didn't even know it existed, boy was I surprised), and before that I had never played past X3, that collection only goes up to X6, and then we got X8 (also for the PS2)... so I actually skipped right over X7.

The most modding-wide we had for the PS2 before it died (old-ass fat model) was a gameshark that I only used with two games before I accidentally broke the disc in half.

I used to own mega man x and mario rpg, it's all i played untill my snes died... someone dropped my snes in a move it and megaman x were desroyed. I can't express enough how much I don't want a playstation.... and would really love to play a mega man x with cut scenes, but that's not a deal breaker.

star fox.... what a dissapointment that's it's not an online game.... a nintendo blunder.... coulda' and woulda' had a smash hit.... and they took out the team up and take down comps to compete for score game...

There's no way to play ALL of the Mega Man X series unless it's on Playstation 2... Seriously, X7 and X8 suck, but hey. If you want X Collection so badly just mod your Wii/GC/PS2 and burn a copy, there you go, all the (real) games in the series are at your disposal cheap. If that don't cut it, a Wii, SD card and GC controller (costs you what, 80 bucks) will emulate all games via emulators perfectly (even the PS1 games with cutscenes) and you can play with a multitude of controllers on the Wii. I did a runthrough of X5 on my Wii recently.

Capcom may not release a collection for DS but Fans like me can create a Megaman X Collection - X1 to X8 but with the same sprites and Graphics..and Megaman X7 in 16Bit Graphics not in 3D...

I know this is an old thread, but x5 will forever be my true love I never get bored of it. On that note, x7 and x8 were different but fun in their own way, Axel is too uber however.
