Now I'd say I've been gaming since I was maybe 4 years old; sat on my dad's lap while he played DOOM when I was 2. I play pretty much anything I can get my hands on, save for sports games and shovelware, and usually have a nice session playing games almost everyday. I ALWAYS find the time. I own every major home console system save for the pre-NES stuff and the Saturn (I could actually get a Saturn right now at my local Disc Replay, there's just no games for it unless I look online... Probably the reason it's still there after months), and most handhelds. I also modded every system I own except my 360 and everything before the PS2 (PS1 was modded too but it's stopped reading discs). This has made me the "go-to-guy" for mods and computer-related stuff within my various branches of friends.
But I've been wondering lately; is this too much? Gaming is certainly not the only thing I do in my life, I HATE staying couped up in the house for too long and I hang with friends often, and I attend college regularly. But it IS what I do the most, and I feel like I've been doing it for about 90% of mynolife. Do you guys feel like a gaming habit like mine is a bit much, or am I fine?
This is my game layout in my bedroom:
I've also got an SDTV right next to my entertainment center, sitting on a stand/shelf that has my SNES, N64, and Dreamcast on top, with my NES, PS1, and old games in a cabinet below it.
