Hacking pokemon white and supercard dstwo on 3ds glitch?

i was playing pokemon white on my supercard dstwo on the 3ds just goofing around and got into a random battle but guess what i got no exp for winning. i was like wtf? so luckly i had my phat ds so i turned that on put my super card dstwo in and i got exp tell me if that's messed up and i had the patch mode for both the 3ds and nds on. so i'm wondering if that's normal and my game is unpatched but still i wonder...

at least i owned that game once. that counts of owning it? yeah i'm just going try a different copy later i guess with the AP on it.
