According to redmondpie Geohot the one you all love and hate at the same time, the father of jailbreaking is back to hacking, after leaving Facebook for whatever reason he was there in the first place hes back to hacking and was seen at the Backplane hackathon which was started up by "Lady Gaga" (no joke the real Lady GaGa), he didnt win but goes to show that he is hopefully back to being full time hacker

For those who dont know he was the first "Jailbreaker" or known to be "Father of Jailbreaks" he jailbroke the first iPhone, on numerous occasions and on different iOS's most famous is his BlackRa1n and LimeRa1n tools but more recently known as the guy who jailbroke PS3 and was banned for life from hacking anything sony wise, you can read up on that later

so what does this mean for the hacking community, well he cant do anything Sony related, hopefully he will do iOS which the A5 devices were able to get a jailbreak but we need more of a permanent on like a bootrom or "pwnd4life" exploit

I doubt just because he left Facebook(is this even confirmed?) means he is back to hacking. And just because he was at a hacking event, doesn't really mean anything. Do you know how many companies have "hack-a-thon" type of days at work? Could be that. But I mean, this doesn't mean he's left Facebook or anything. And I personally(don't quote me on this) don't think we will see much of anything from him for a long time. I don't think George wants any more press.

I don't think he's going to put his hand on a hot stove twice (shouting from a rooftop about his accomplishments and getting Sony'ed). But I do think this guy loves the challenge/thrill of hacking and he will help out somehow, maybe with a different alias.

Of course, iOS hacking is DMCA-safe so maybe he'll be his loud self there and ignore the console scene. Damn. We could use the guy, I don't care if he is a jerk or not.
