Well in light of the recent thread that might get closed because of flaming I've decided to post this thread for all members to post in!

Have you ever been/still are bullied? Share your stories! Share you realizations! Share what you want to do to the bully!

Unfortunately I have to leave at the time of this thread, so I'll post my stories later...but for now, POST AWAY! (If you feel comfortable that is...)

EDIT: I used to be bullied a bit in elementary school. I went to a school where quite a bit of people were higher-middle class/High class. At this time my family was having a bit of troubles financially so we couldn't afford all the nicest things people had back then. At said school we had to wear uniforms and I only had...I think 3 pair all together so I was always made fun of for only having 3. Eventually that evolved into people calling me dirty which evolved into people saying I stank? Which made no sense as in reality I didn't. I had quite a few friends though, so it's not like it affected me too much...Still kinda sucked though.

I had started my highschool not knowing ANYONE. 0 people. At first I was pretty quiet and all that, used to never do homework/answer questions in class and the like. Eventually this got to the point where everyone assumed I was unintelligent. As freshmen year ended and Sophomore year started I decided to start showing off my intelligence and all that. Managed to make quite a few friends then, and now my junior year this year I am the biggest smartass you'll ever meet. I laugh at others stupidity, I correct teachers when their wrong, I comment on a lot of things in my English class. It's beginning to get a bit extreme now, but it's made me more friends then enemies so I don't really care.

I got bullied a lot in elementary school. So much so that I ended up not coming to school anymore until I was finally found out and forced to go back. Back then I never really stood up for myself or fought back. But after my little break from school, I went back and was incredibly intolerant towards other peoples bullshit. I ended up fighting against any and all bullying towards myself, and soon it boiled down to basically nothing.

In highschool I was never a victim of bullying, probably because of the aura of "fuck off" I tended to give off. I wasn't very social, just observant. There were times when i'd see people getting bullied, and i'd step up and tell the bully to fuck off, but I never got bullied myself. I'm tall and a pretty strong guy (despite never really ever exercising *shrug*), so no one was stupid enough to try bully me in highschool. I kinda wish I had done more to prevent bullying, actually. I enjoyed it.

As an observer of the people, I tended to notice bullying and the like more often than a normal person. The vast majority of it at my school was female psychological bullshit. Girls are harsh to eachother, it's ridiculous. There wasn't much I could do to counter it either. Which annoyed me thoroughly. Probably why I ended up counselling people in my spare time. I dealt with a LOT of bully victims, and a vast majority were girls. Some of the stories are pretty heart breaking in a "God, I wish I could give you a hug and a baseball bat right now." kind of way.

Once or twice. My realization is that middle school and high school don't matter. Being popular or unpopular there amounts to exactly nothing for the rest of your life. I wish my former bullies all the best.

In real life: Never, not many people want to bully a girl that looks 6 years old with Cystic Fibrosis.
Over the internet: Lots. I'm a furry. Enough said.

It can still affect you though, unfortunately. But as long as you come to this realization everything will work out just fine! :P

I was bullied a lot as a kid. Like to the point where I'd fake sick to not have to go to school to deal with people.

Unfortunately it's fucked me up pretty severely socially. I do my best to try and get past the difficulties I have, but it's a hell of a lot of work.

It's all about perspective. When all you have known in your short life is school then it can be hard for you to understand it isn't the "real" world. That usually changes pretty fast once you move on.

I was, but it was only when I was 12/13, during my body changes and a hormonal problem started showing up, although my sort of bullying was pretty light, I had always been the best in some of my classes and was pretty good in some sports too, so the kids that tried to bully, used my chest problem as an excuse to make fun of me, but if they crossed the line, I'd kick their asses. xP
Although my hormonal problem wasn't really a big issue, it affected my self esteem for the following years, but none of that was transpired to others and everyone thought I was ok, like Hells I was never bullied after that one year but I noticed lots of others beeing bullied which I also tried to assist. In my case it was just kid's innocent bullying, although that affected my self esteem until last year (I just removed the problem I had this past summer), it didn't affect my way of life nor could they be blamed, they were kids that wanted a reason to pick on me. =3

In elementary school, not really. Most of the people that i went to school with grew up with each other (Was a small town). Was the occassional fight or whatever, but most people ended up making up later.

In middle school, not in my first 2 years (I was in the same area i went to Elementary School, so it was pretty awesome). Though, the 8th grade was pretty brutal since my family was forced to move thanks to the millitary. Kids there were relentless

I see some people saying that bullying has made it hard for them to socialize with others. I wonder if the bullying is what made it hard to socialize, or not being able to socialize well is what led to the bullying.

Just around the beginning of middle school (5th grade, iirc, which was just around the time I moved to the US due to my father's job), I was bullied because I was mute (which makes sense, since I was still learning English).

Although I learned how to cope effectively with them, It was just depressing how humanity could plummet due to such small things. Otherwise, now in highschool, I barely get targeted. I'm (still) very socially awkward, but I barely get bullied because... the girls are overprotective over me (it's sometimes aggravating, but oh well). I also tend to do well at school, so I guess that puts me with the 'better' group of people, who are less prone to bully me (hopefully).

In my case, it was a language barrier that made me mute, which has lead to bullying.

I guess that is true with some people. (I knew a few people who were like that their whole lives). But for me personally, i WAS a very social kid and was very physically active. I barely played Video Games back then (Outside of Pokemon/A few others, or on rainy days), and i had no problem talking to anyone about anything. (I was the kid who would blurt out a silly answer in class just to make people laugh)

Now, i prefer just to sit back and watch things unfold without getting involved. I hate talking unless i need to in class (For fear of making myself look like an idiot), and I have a hard time talking to almost anyone who isnt either intelligent (Whether they are the same age as me or not), or someone who isnt a gamer or geek or something.

The only time I was ever "bullied" would have been in 6th grade, and the reason I put bullied in quotes is because it lasted less than a week. At the time, I was like 5 foot 2, 80 lb, and the guy bullying me was like 6 foot 2, 180 lb. He just started out of the blue one day, and about 3 days later I got ticked off and told him to suck shit when he was shoving me around one time. He started yelling and making threats about how he was gonna kick my ass, etc and flipped me off. At that point I reached out, grabbed his finger and snapped it completely backwards.

After that day he never bothered be again.

I usually just get ignored by everyone in my class. It makes me keep them at arms length, since they obviously don't feel like opening up to me or others.
I used to be bullied between 4-6th grade, because I came from a poorer part of town than the others, and belonged to other cultures. Then I got the fuq outta that school and found myself someplace better.

I wasn't bullied, but I was/is fat since when I was way young and kids used to tease me about me being fat back then. I had to move around a lot too so whenever I tried to make friends I moved away someplace else. This one time when I was in 3rd grade or something, in Korea, kids used to ignore me since I was fat and all. My mom made me study because of the bad grades I was getting (it wasn't due to other kids, I was just fucking lazy) and I started acing every test in class. The classmates' mothers found about this, and they all wanted to fuck me - they forced me to be friends with their children or something. I moved to US a year or so after that.

Even if I was bullied, I would probably not give a single fuck.

^huh cool, I was in Korea too around those grades

Not really bullied per say, a little picked on. Never jumped or beat up nor did I understand why anyone did such a stupid thing that accomplishes nothing. After having lifted weights for a while people have backed off, even if I talk back, stand up, or be a dick in general.

well, in elementary and middle school, I was picked on a bit for being small and short. I was also the only asian girl in my elem/middle school, and some people picked on me for that. but now people just occasionally and jokingly refer to how small I am ;P

Hm. Uhh....well. Yeah. I'm not sure if that's the right word choice right there.

As for me, I'm not really bullied. I'm kind of a weirdo, but if people don't like me they tend to ignore me. A couple tease me, but I just give them the cold shoulder.....I've tried being nice to some of the people that dislike me, but all I just get mocked...
Mainly, people like me or they ignore me. Weirdo-ness can be better than boringly-normal, so I'm pretty well off.
