Since I have already finished both sim dates I've been playing, I think I will wait for this one (even if it's for girls :D)

Out of curiosity, did you use the Korean version because it allowed for more English characters per line?
Yes. The Japanese version doesn't accept normal English text and it will add a big gap to each English character we added. The Korean version allows English text and we could change it to fit more text in one line. ^_^

@[member='ioukta'], you really need a guide to finish this game. And I promised I'd make a guide for it. That's why we set up another site for the project. (I think I've created so many Google Sites. Hopefully they won't limit the number of sites I can make. :P) We will need beta-testers to check if the all the guides are correct later though. :)

@[member='Sheygull'], this game is very girlish (as the title says.) But I hope you'll enjoy it when it's out.

- I added more info about the game and a few more links (including link to screenshots) on the first post. (Sorry I forgot to mention that this is an otome game. :P)

- For beta testing, I haven't thought how it's going to be done yet. ^_^" (The current test is just to check that the game works on our editors' flash carts.) I'll announce later about the beta-testing. There are still some dialogs that need to be done before we release the beta patch.

I remember I played once an Otome game (don't know the exact name anymore) just for the fun of it and after 1 hour or so I quit and pledged to never ever touch a game like this again. When it says it is meant for girls then it is REALLY meant for girls. Still I wish you good luck and fun on this poject :)

I'm glad to see an official post for it and a site for it! I've been watching this project for quite some time now. (btw, it's Alice from the chat on the site)

I'm amazed how far along this game is now. Like I said in the other topic, I can help edit and beta-test if you need more people to help you. I actually have played one route for the PC version, so I know how the game works and stuff. But I know other routes are more challenging. That's why I'm happy to see you made guide for the game.

Either way, I will still be lurking this thread.

Don't worry about becoming beta testers. We're not that strict. ^_^
I'll ask around when it's ready for beta-testing. If you're free and have time to spend on testing the patch, you're welcomed to join.
(But the beta patch might contain a lot of errors. And the save file for one patch might not work for another, which means your progress will be lost, etc. So please be prepared that it might not be as fun as you imagined. :P)

By the way, if you have a chance to try other versions of this game, or find some videos on YouTube, etc. for the version with voice, try it. It will help when you play this version. (Very unfortunately, the DS version doesn't have characters' voices. The voice actors for this game could cause you heart attack in some romantic scenes. I almost didn't survive when I tried playing the PC version of this game. >_

Huh, I wonder if I could play through this. Otome games can't be too different from galge, can they?
Pretty similar, except Otome games are generally targeted at females, which is why the mc is female. It's much like shoujo anime/manga with a reverse harem (in which there's a single female protagonist, with multiple male characters that have/build up affection towards her). As far as I know, there are quite a few otome games ported from an anime/manga (vise versa), so you could give those anime/manga a shot to generalize what an otome game is like, instead of going straight into a otome game.

Persona 3 Portable featured a female mc mode, in which you can strengthen your social link with the male characters; those featured a more otome style, compared to the galge style you would feel through associating with the female characters as the (regular) male protagonist. Hakuouki is an anime ported from an otome game, so you might want to give it a shot, too.

But do beware that the male characters tend to say some 'sweet' and 'suave' things to you, which is sometimes intimidating for the male audience. The female audience might get some charm from it, though (but I dare you say any of those to a girl IRL :P)

@K3Nv2 Snow Day is pretty fun. My only bitch would be the camera controls, when you move around, say down, you have to move the right stick left or right to get camera to turn and get your view, other than that I like it so far.

From what people say pvp isn't even worth it
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
I just been playing offline, and they give you a few bots here n there on your team to help battle. I don't think it's as funny as the other games tho, more battle oriented than humor, which kinda sucks, but I'm still early in it
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@BigOnYa, doesnt the game have a campaign mode?
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Yea, and co-op, but you can also start a pvp session and battle just with friends. You get special skill cards (powers) the more you play. And higher value cards, but you can only enable so many cards at a time.

If you can find enough for it
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Toilet paper is considered the money, you collect and buy stuff with TP, kinda funny. Graphics are def better than the other games tho, I think they used Unity 5 engine.
