It's actually quite interesting, just finished the first video.

Oh, and rather then complaining it would've taken the same amount of time to hit the report button, type in "Not news." and click submit. Than it took to make your post.

Should be in the General discussion or something...

Anyways, downloading them now and will watch them later. Looks to be pretty interesting.
seen how other video game site put this as news i decided top post it as news cuz this is a video game site
Care? Should be in General Console Discussions. This isn't news, it's someone making a video on something that was news.

EDIT: And we are a forum, not just a news site. We have sections dedicated to these types of things.

This is rubbish.

For one, nothing forbids Wind Waker happening after the end of the "Hero" timeline. As for the "Adult" timeline, in what way is that an adult timeline? Those are just the most stylistically similar games. If Link reseals the door of time, he's a kid again, and the toons show no semblance of adulthood. On top of that, Spirit Tracks and Phantom Hourglass appear to be in parallel universes, not one after another. Tetra becomes Zelda?

Majora's Mask was completely skimmed over too. Termania is a pretty big deal, the story wasn't even touched on. To find Navi? Whose arse did you pull that idea out of?

Next, the final timeline is crap. How could you just overlook the whole of ALTTP and OOA/OOS. OOA and OOS HAVE to be discussed because they are parallel universes too, and ALTTP was perhaps the most important step forward in the series in terms of scale. Sounds like whoever made this never even played those games. There's no reason why the hero of time has to die for those plotlines either.

Plus, Link's Awakening is just way out there. I assumed he dreamt the whole thing. Seems like some 13 year old kid who played Zelda DX and OOT on the 3DS, the wii games and the ds games and decided he knew what he was on about.

I've never have a discussion about the Zelda timeline before because I never saw the point, who cares what order the games are in? But when someone tries to map the timeline and does it so horrifically badly that even someone who's not a diehard fan, but has simply played every games in the series can immediately see how stupid it is, I feel like I should call it out.

Congratulations! You failed to read previous threads! This is the official timeline in video format. This is directly from Nintendo, someone just put it in video format.

Is there something inaccurate in the videos when compared the to official timeline Nintendo just released? The reason I ask is because I'm seeing a number of comments in the videos that say this timeline doesn't match up with the official? I don't know shit about Zelda, but just wondering about that before I sit down to give these a watch...

Remember what? I've played it countless times; Majora's Mask is my favourite game in existence and I've never heard a single mention of Navi within any piece of dialogue within that game.

And, alright, fair play @[member='suprgamr232'], though timeline continuity aside, it still seems like the person who made the video put huge amounts of emphasis on the games he'd personally played and completely overlooked several highlights of the series.

As I am watching the videos now, I agree fully.

As for MM, it was about Link looking for Navi. It wasn't mentioned in the story, but I believe it was mentioned many times by Nintendo and in various summaries of the game.

Majora's Mask takes place several months after Ocarina of Time and begins with Link searching for an unnamed friend (implied, more or less, to be his former fairy companion Navi).

Ah, the problem here is that I take my Zelda knowledge exclusively from the games then :P .

On another note: I wonder what's for dinner? Or rather, where were the CDi games? If I were Nintendo I'd also conveniently forget about them to be fair.

Also there was that Zelda 64DD thing that changed via satellite.

Is there a non-video version? Don't feel like watching a video for something that is essentially just a picture...
I happen to be subscribed to that channel already but I didn't watch the timeline videos since they were just pictures.

It's just adorable how you're arguing and don't actually understand 3/4 of what it is you're arguing.
