Hi guys.

Have been away from the Wii for a while, but I have updated stuff and so on.

I have a new 4.3 Wii and was wondering if

I have:
A gamecube controller
A gamecube memorycard
The Wind Waker (backup ISO obtained from my original disc)

Is it somehow possible to run Zelda (full speed and fully playable) via putting my Wind Waker-ISO on an SD-card?

Please explain how if that´s possible. Thanks! =)

I dont think its possible from the Wii's sd-card reader. You'd need a gecko sd card or similar "GC memcard -> SD" adapter.

Thanks for the replies.

I guess I´ll get myself an SD-gecko then. It isnt´t too expensive.

But where to I go from there? Will Zelda, Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3 be fully playable with an SD-gecko and without slowdowns?

For the most part afaik. I don't have an SD Gecko myself, but a little googling could find you a compatibility list or something.

If you've got an older Wii that doesn't have the D3-2 disc drive, you could also try disc loading with Neogamma. All games I've played work fine on it.

I'm not sure how up to date this compat list is as there was a new version of swiss released yesterday, but this should give you a good idea of how well certain games run.
Although I think the Wind Waker map bug has been fixed so that should now work 100% :)

Links to a wiki that was last modified on the 14th of this month. Seems up to date.

Thanks guys!
From what I can tell then, Wind Waker should be running at 100 % with an SD-gecko.
The wiki compatibility list posted was a little vague though...

I guess I´ll get myself an SD-gecko any day here!
