Hello,
I was wondering, is there a way to use the Mario Kart channel and the Wii Fit Plus channels to forward to a USB version of them?

yes, use WGSC. makes custom channels for all wii disc games for usb loaders. you can find it in side mod mii, on page 2.

Hi,
thanks for your replies,
but i don't mean a simple forwarder for all of my games. I know how to do that and have made several.
What I mean is, when you play Wii Fit Plus or Mario Kart, you're asked if you want to install their channels(which i find quite useful...well, wii fit plus channel is useful) is there a way to install that channel and it forward to an image on USB? The kids have all but destroyed Mario Kart, and I'm trying to save Wii Fit!!

ok, if you know how to do the game channels, then make one for wii fit. after it's dumped.( i have mine for wii fit). if the channel is on the disc, then it's for that disc. it will not point to the usb loader, like you want. an as many times as i have played on the disc, before i dumped both of these games(mario/wii fit), they never asked me to upload the channel.(though it is an option).

that wont do unfortunately. What i want is to use the provided channels for wii fit and mario kart. hoping there was some way to modify the forwarding addresses. Oh well.
thanks

well then if you want to use those channels.(?).. then do a nand dump, then use showmii wads to pull them (channels) off your nand, then uncompress them, once uncompressed you'll have to find the line were they point to the disk an change it to point to the usb loader. no it's not an easy task, an you'll have to know how to write code.(just a hint both these channels you want, are real close to the offical channel thats on the disc.). don't know why your against using WGSC. but each to their own.

Whats so special about the provided channels that you cant use custom channels?
wow that sounds like fun.
to answer your question, I'm assuming the custom channels will simply forward to the discs, while the one's provided by the games actually allow you to do things that aren't on the actual DVD. Convenience features.
"goes to check out ShowMii"

if your going to mess with writing your own code for the disc channels to work make sure you have protection.(priiloader,nand/keys back up).
cause not knowing what or how to write the correct coding, you can get a banner brick or a full brick.. good luck if this is what your going to do.
