Today marks the day of a legit Siri port by Chpwn for all iOS 5 devices (iPad 1, iPod 3,4, iPhone 3GS,4). Chpwn was the first along with Strongstonsmith to port Siri to the older devices, however Siri gui and files from a 4S were illegal to download and port to older devices unless you knew how to extract files from a 4S you owned. Since Apples bluder/gift of an update of iOS 5.0.1 to some 4S's they opened up to files system to legally take those Siri files and distribute them to the internets, weather or not Apple did this on purpose we will never know. This port by Chpwn, the famous Planetbeing and Ryan Petrich came together to distribute Spire a Siri port legally, however there is a catch.
1. you still need to authenticate keys or get 4S keys using a proxy server so you still need 4S or someone's own server that has been setup with keys
2. Chpwn made it easier to add proxy server built into Spire
3. its 100 MB file so use Wi-Fi
4. Remember if you use a server that someone else has setup to do auth and such please remeber you are possibly sending personal info to them so wary with caution set up your own server if you can
5. Semitether not supported gets uninstalled
6. Siri0us the dictation part works actually by Eric Day along with this port so if you dont get Siri working you can still have Dictation
7. Camera/Facetime might not work might be the caching issue with possible 4S caches so looking into that
for those with iOS devices you may now get a legit Siri ported onto your device, its about time i say, Go to Cydia to download its on the normal sources its 100MB file so plz you Wi-Fi and good luck.
