I just wonder why people say about this game. It is really good rpg game? No I didn't look up. I just notice myself.
It's a tad overrated, but for JRPG and Wii standards it's pretty epic, so do get it.

EDIT: I wanted to add, it pretends to be real-time but it's actually a mix of turn-based and real-time, and quite pleasant at that, so if you like that sort of thing then yeah, it gets points for the battle system.

It is highly over rated, it is a good RPG though but it's not something amazing.

FFXII would be an example if OP has played it.

How is it turn-based in any way? The closest thing to "turn based" is chain attacks. Everything else is real-time and not turnbased at all. I think what you are refering to is "RNG".

It's nearly an exact replica of the Square's ATB system - you have a bar of Action Points that recovers over time and allows you to perform actions. It may not look Turn-Based but it is, it's just concealed in a crafty fashion - a cross between RT and TB, really. The fact you can move around is irrelevant here, point is, you and your enemies take turns in striking.

Huh.....No wonder people said that. It this game almost same Final Fantasy style or different kind that something new?
There's no annoying blue menu with three hundred different versions of the same spell, if that's what you're asking. I'd call it JRPG Light - a "Final Fantasy that's digestable for Western Audiences"

um....no...? They hit whenever they want to, and so do I. Theres no "taking turns" there.

The fact that the player has a choice not to do anything when his AP bar is full and his turn begins is irrelevant, it just means that you chose not to do anything. I've had that conversation a thousand times already.

Really? I always want to hit an enemy four times before he can even strike back, but "for some reason" that never works. ;)

I know it doesn't look like it because the action pace is fast and movement is real time (oh, and because enemies take their turns regardless of whether you decide to do anything or not), but that doesn't mean it's not there. Foxi is just right about his observation.

To me the game is excellent, but how the battle system works from my observations is your auto attack, which is just you normal attack occurs automatically when its hidden ATB is full, but you also have special skills you can also use durring battle, but they just work independantly from the Autoattack ATB and then from them they have their recharge untill you can use that skill again. Also certain skills give certain bonuses durring certian condiditons like one gives a bonus to damage when you strike an enemy from behind. Storyline so far has been great, but ever since I heard of the US release, I've stopped to wait for that one.
